Was Hercules ever like "Yo, I don't wanna fight Cerberus"?
  • In general, the Madrigal family using their blessed gifts to help the town on a daily basis. It's both admirable and honorable.
  • "The Family Madrigal", which displays each of the family's gifts and roles throughout their home:
    • Julieta using her food to heal people's injuries.
    • Luisa lifting a stone bridge with complete ease.
    • Dolores hearing the song even though she is miles away from the village.
    • Camilo breezily shapeshifting through a number of people while helping people throughout his home.
    • Mirabel showcasing some impressive speed and reflexes during the song while evading the children.
  • Mirabel walking Antonio to his door is an incredibly brave act: not only is she willingly putting herself through a repeat of what is probably the most traumatic moment of her life, she knows that everyone fears the magic is dying, and since she was the one who didn't receive a gift, she has to know that if Antonio doesn't get one, the blame might be placed on her being present next to him. She walks with him anyway, because he needs her.
  • Antonio riding his jaguar friend in his newly established room. The music only adds to the majestic nature of it.
  • A small moment, but during the family breakfast, Mirabel is trying to get information from Luisa about what she knows about the magic fading, but her impulsiveness and Abuela's strictness hamper her efforts. When Mirabel is finally able to speak with Luisa at the table, she sees an empty seat and sees Luisa all the way into the town. In other words, Luisa managed to run/sprint all the way into town in a matter of seconds or minutes.
  • Throughout Luisa's Disney Acid Sequence song, "Surface Pressure," she is seen doing amazing feats while protecting Mirabel from the imagined dangers in said song. Highlights include:
    • Casually breaking boulders over her head and then hip checking two of them into the distance on each side. Even Mirabel looked impressed by this latter feat.
    • Doing a tight rope act while carrying a whole herd of donkeys on each end of a pole.
    • Fending off Cerberus of Greek Myth.
    • Carrying a literal globe over her shoulders.
    • Riding on a geyser's blast after blocking it with a boulder.
    • Standing against a literal avalanche.
    • Destroying the iceberg that sunk the Titanic with a One-Punch Man style blow.
    • Blocking giant dominoes from flattening herself and her sister. As well as pushing back against a tornado!
    • Carrying Encanto on her shoulders. (Not just Casita, but literally the whole town, including the mountains surrounding it)
      Luisa: No pressure.
  • During "We Don't Talk About Bruno" the choreography of the characters are timed to the beat of the song and acted out like it's all being performed on a stage. Many have noted that while the song alone is great, actually seeing and hearing the movements of the characters as they dance around absolutely elevates the song to something more.
    • Special mention goes to the Madrigals setting up the dinner table in unison with each other.
    • While Pepa was annoyed by it, the fact that she and Félix got married in a hurricane is a great feat on its own. Even if it was accidental.
  • Mirabel showing a lot of great parkour skills throughout the movie; from using it to scale Bruno's tower to getting the candle.
  • When Mirabel is chasing after Bruno, she slips and hangs onto a broken piece of the house's inner working. But before she fell, Bruno backtracked just in time to catch her. Even if they weren't in any real danger, it's the thought that counts.
  • Pedro Madrigal's Heroic Sacrifice in the flashbacks, demonstrating incredible courage and selflessness in the face of armed soldiers on horseback in order to buy his wife, children, and neighbors the time that they need to escape. It's implied that this act of bravery and love is what gave birth to the miracle itself.
  • The moment that the miracle was created is stunning: Alma's incredible despair also seems to have been a factor in its birth. Just as she falls forward in grief, the candle changes, sending out a shock wave that remakes the landscape and blasts Pedro's killers away.
  • Despite the fact that Bruno is a superstitious Cowardly Lion, his gift is honestly the most awe-inspiring; his eyes give off a piercing green glow, the area around him becomes a sandstorm of time, and he can peer into glimpses of the future. It does add to why people may fear this power; it appears to be lowkey the most powerful besides Luisa, Pepa, and Isabela's respective powers, which are more physically interactive, but he can see through a veil into the future.
    • Even more awe-inspiring. He doesn't predict the future, he sees the future. Everything in his visions comes true in its entirety. Of course, this can be a problem, as he doesn't see everything or understand everything he sees, and some of the worse visions become self-fulfilling.
  • When Mirabel ticks off Isabela during her sarcastic apology, Isabela accidentally creates a new plant, a cactus. This unleashes a "Let It Go" moment of power awakening in her, releasing a full array of various, unique flora all over her room and the town. All the while Mirabel is in complete awe and wonder over her sister's true potential.
    • Throughout the song, Isabela also showcases impressive levels of athleticism through her use of Vine Swings. During one swing, she also carries Mirabel with only one arm. Maybe she should join the Olympics.
  • After Mirabel tries to explain how to fix the magic, Abuela shuts her up and starts blaming her for everything that’s gone wrong (the cracks appearing, Bruno leaving, Isabela seemingly "going wild", Luisa's powers failing her), even going so far as to imply she’s destroying the magic deliberately out of envy for not receiving a gift. Mirabel, heartbroken and fed up of Alma constantly telling her (indirectly and not) that she's a jinx who needs to stay quietly out of the family’s way so she won’t ruin their "perfect" lives, finally snaps, defending not only herself and her older sisters, but the whole family. She gives Alma a scathing “The Reason You Suck” Speech, telling Alma that even with their magical gifts, no one in the family will ever be good enough for her and her exacting standards, no matter how hard they try. She then points out that Bruno really left because Alma only saw the worst in him, that Alma doesn’t care about the family or that her intense pressure on the family to prove themselves worthy of the miracle’s favor by living a life of perfection and never-ending service to their community, even when that means hiding their unhappiness in the process, is breaking the family (and house) apart, before delivering the blunt truth: Alma’s the reason the miracle’s dying. The second the matriarch tried to put the blame of her sisters' problems (and Bruno's departure) on her, it made Mirabel stand her ground against her grandmother. And although the resulting argument was the straw that broke the camel's back for the house, Mirabel's decision to rip off the bandage ultimately leads the family to reconcile and brings the miracle back stronger than ever.
Mirabel: I will never... be good enough for you... will I? No matter how hard I try... (looks at her sisters, giving her a realization) no matter how hard any of us tries. Luisa will never be strong enough. Isabela won't be perfect enough. Bruno left our family because you only saw the worst in him!
Alma: Bruno didn't care about this family!
Mirabel: He loves this family! I love this family! We all love this family! You're the one that doesn't care! You're the one breaking our home!
    Alma: DON'T YOU EVER...!
Mirabel: The miracle is dying because of YOU!
  • During an argument, Mirabel's father tells Abuela that he kept Bruno's prophecy a secret because he wanted to protect his youngest. Also, during this, Pepa's weather powers are snowing all over her as Alma chastises her about it; she and Félix snap back, Pepa even growling her words. Abuela may "run the show", but the rest of the family knows when to stand their ground.
Alma: You should have told me the second you saw that vision! Think of the family!
Agustín: I was thinking of my daughter!
    Alma: Pepa! Calm down!
    Pepa: I'm doing my best!
    Félix: Yes!
    Pepa: You're lucky it's not a Hurricane!
Julieta: Mamá, you've always been too hard on Mirabel.
  • Félix shows his Acrofatic skill when he quickly saves Antonio from getting crushed from a falling door. And then dodging more large debris while carrying his scared son.
  • Julieta willing to scale a crumbling Casita to save Mirabel with Agustín right behind her. Had it not been for Casita using its strength to push them and the rest of the Madrigals (sans Mirabel who Casita is helping get to the candle), they wouldn't have stopped climbing to get their daughter.
    • A quick moment, but Pepa was also trying to get inside the crumbling Casita to rescue Mirabel along with Julieta and Agustín.
    • They're not the only ones; Isabela and Camilo are quick to try and help her get the candle using their respective gifts; Isabela using one of her vines to swing up to it and Camilo turning into a more athletic person to try and parkour it.
    • Mirabel actually gets the candle, even if it does go out. She manages to do it while her magically gifted family members can't (being hampered by the loss of their powers doesn't help), as the house is coming down, and in the distance, a mountain cracks in half.
  • Despite being on the verge of crumbling down, Casita uses all of its strength to get all of the Madrigal family members to safety. And Casita uses the very last bit to make a makeshift shield for Mirabel to protect her from the falling debris.
  • Bruno, for his part, escapes his hideout by putting on his bucket and ramming the wall head-first.
  • Mirabel's You Are Better Than You Think You Are speech to Alma is not only heartwarming but explains her grandmother's awesomeness — Despite being traumatized, Alma mentally willed herself to not only guide the Encanto but also her magically enhanced family to further help their home. While she did lose her way, there's no denying that it was because of Alma's determination that got their village to where it is.
  • Without knowing that they have already made up, Bruno arrives to confront his mother about Mirabel. Despite not seeing her in 10 years, very clearly wanting her approval, and being judged by the community for his powers, he was willing to finally stand up to his mother for treating Mirabel badly and was willing to take full responsibility for everything. He's got a Crowning Speech of Awesome too.
Bruno: She didn't do this! She didn't do this! I GAVE HER A VISION!!! IT WAS ME!!! I was like, "Go!" and she was like "Phssht!" She only wanted to help. I don't care what you think of me, but if you're too stubborn to — (gets glomped)
  • The villagers coming to the Madrigals in their time of need and repaying them for all they've done. How? By rebuilding their house. They may not have gifts to make it go faster, but that doesn't stop them from getting the house rebuilt the old-fashioned way, now does it? And rebuild it they do! If nothing else, this just goes to show that gift or no gift, just like Mirabel, each villager can help in their own special way.
    • If no one changing their clothes is not artistic license (because animating different clothing to signify the passage of time would be a massive headache), Casita was rebuilt in just one day.
  • Mirabel being the key to restoring the magic of her family and bringing back Casita. And the front door has a mural of the family all together with Mirabel in the center, cementing her place as The Heart of the family. After all the emotional turmoil Mirabel went through, she has earned her happy ending.
    • Given the fact Word of God confirmed the candle is gone for real, how he also confirmed that a new miracle has been born, and it was Mirabel who ultimately restored the magic, it's heavily implied that Mirabel is the new miracle.
    • Casita's resurrection is also rather awe-inspiring; after Mirabel puts the doorknob into the door, a brilliant golden flash of light courses throughout not just the house; but into the entire community. The house shines as the powers return to everyone and they see the mural...and a small wave from the window as Casita welcomes them home.
      Mirabel: Hola, Casita.
