One day, when the gang are studying Darkness creatures, Gabe decides to study up on their anti-thesis -- Light creatures, first and foremost being Angel Command, their ruling class. Later, when in a tough spot, Gabe decides to summon one. The one being Sasha, Channeler of Light. This Light Civilization Princess only came through the portal out of curiosity, and though rather stand-offish, she eventually helps with the problem a hand. She returns later on a mission from the Light Civilization to study the earth and its people, deciding to use Gabe as a chaperone. Under the guise of a foreign exchange student, she learns a few of the nice things in life on Gabe's side of the veil...as well as the not so nice.

* TheAce: As the names of the first three episodes imply, Ray turns out to be a natural for Kaijudo. He himself feels like he belongs with the art. Not only does he catch on to the ways of said art, like quickly picking up perfect gateway summoning stances and perfect creature control, he also summons Tatsurion the Unchained, a powerful hybrid creature, after only a two second glance at his tablet. Certain creatures seem to take a shining to him as well. It turns out [[spoiler:his mom's a former Kaijudo practitioner, his father was Suguru a.k.a. Ken Okamoto, and he was born in the Creature Realm.]]
* AchievementsInIgnorance: Being a talented sketch artist for his age, he managed to draw a "tablet" depicting a Rumbling Terrasuar perfectly, even though he'd never seen one before. [[spoiler:Though we later learn he ''had'' seen one before when he was a baby in the Creature Realm with his parents; he even bonded with it.]] In a pinch with the bullies, he even correctly "made up" the creature's name, summoning it and scaring the bullies (and him and his friends) away.
