* ContraltoOfDanger: While she is capable of speaking in a rather pretty voice, she prefers using a low deadpan monotone that dips even deeper down when she is annoyed, which happens often; many of her playful remarks invoke her "teenage loan shark" side and sound downright menacing, and some are [[ShameIfSomethingHappened actual threats]].

* ContraltoOfDanger: While her idol career forces her to speak in a typically high-and-cute voice, her real one is much deeper and even somewhat menacing, combining with her hidden aggressiveness and temper.

** Although she’s cute, she can be actively dangerous and show her nasty side. Her voice tone can go from the light, cute idol voice to [[UsefulNotes/JapaneseLanguage a Hiroshima accent]] with ContraltoOfDanger real quick, especially when she transforms into a magical girl or encounters some of her "enemies". In the English translation, this is portrayed as Iko dropping into a Southern drawl, which she refers to as her "twang".

TRS has decided that Schoolgirl Lesbians is no longer a valid trope. Removing all links to the page and changing them to more appropriate pages if one can be found

** This has a lot to do with her deep-held personal beliefs, which stem from her family history: Ao is very ill at ease with the way women normally live in [[UsefulNotes/{{Japan}} Japanese culture]], believing it too passive and meek, and seeks to emulate an idealized vision of men in all aspects of her life instead. However, she also doesn't have any gender issues per se, and is completely straight, much to the dismay of many a SchoolgirlLesbian at Takeraho.

Tobio's romance with her is no exception - where other relationships are various shades of sweet, cute and melodramatic, Hanabi starts out treating Tobio as a plaything, browbeats him into gambling for her, and when he asks to be left alone and fails her proposed LastChanceToQuit, ''[[RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil she immediately rapes him]]'' [[WhatTheHellHero as part of his punishment for defying her]] (SFW-version (regular-version players get everything save for the rape). She [[CharacterDevelopment does get better]], but no-one else comes anywhere close to the lows she goes to.

The first of the MagicalGirlWarrior heroines, an extremely energetic and cheerful girl and lifelong fan of Magical Girl media. When she and Kaori are plunged into the flux by a hunting demon and Omnis arrives to enable them to fight back if they become magical girls, she jumps at the chance to fight evil before he can finish, and goes on to continue in the same fashion.
----
* ChronicHeroSyndrome: Committed to helping anyone and everyone in need, which facilitates her [[JumpedAtTheCall jumping at the call]] and gets her into trouble and misunderstandings in bond and dress episodes.
* CooldownHug: Not always literal, but the darker twists of the main story and the characters' personal lives often feature Iroha trying to calm her friends down, perk them up or restore flagging morale, which she pursues until it sticks. She's enough of [[TheParagon an exemplary magical girl]] and [[TheHeart supportive friend]] that she's able to alleviate even her own MentorMascot's HeroicBSOD via a particularly heartwarming literal application.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Her 3D model plays it straight. Her hair color is vivid reddish magenta with magenta eye color).
* {{Dojikko}}: According to [[https://twitter.com/mgcm_official/status/1211753872395505671?s=21 the pamphlet]], she appears to be reckless because she acts quickly. She’s also forgetful sometimes.
* GoodPeopleHaveGoodSex: At least in the DX version, which includes sex scenes. Most of Iroha's Dress substories are on the romantic side of things, fitting of a girl with an innocent and moral nature revolving around her relationship with Tobio and getting into mostly romantic situations with him.
* ForHappiness: Broadly similarly to Cocoa, but comes more from the angle of "protecting the smiles of the people!" common to Super Sentai and Magical Girl genre characters, whom she idolizes.
* TheHeart: De-facto serves as the moral keel and motivational center for the entire 12-girl ensemble.
* HerosEvilPredecessor: At Chapter 12 of the 2nd arc, [[spoiler:[[AlternateSelf the Ultimate Magica Nemesis self]] of Iroha was once a powerful MagicalGirlWarrior from the first/earliest universe who slays demons, until her Kaori gets slain and corrupted into a demon, and her Executor's avatar disappears into another universe for no reason (it's heavily implied that [[HotWitch Vivian]] is responsible for Executors' teleportations, including Nemesis Iroha's and White Omnis). Without the Executor's avatar power, the rest of the heroines are stuck in the Demon Realm forever and eventually they're [[RetGone blipped out of existence]]. This leads her to become a FallenHero, as Iroha is the only one left, and then the twin demons show up to give her the chance to go to another universe and kill [[TheScapegoat the main universe Omnis]] for abandoning them. After she gets defeated by Kaori and the rest of the heroines, she turns over a new leaf after Kaori approaches her, [[HeelFaceDoorslam only to be immediately killed by Vivian]].]]
* HornedHairdo: Iroha has a few strands of her long hair wound up into animal ear-shaped OdangoHair, with the rest flowing free.
* HotBlooded: While somewhat {{Downplayed}}, Iroha is still defined by being passionate about everything she does, in daily life or as a magical girl.
* IncorruptiblePurePureness: [[spoiler:The Iroha of the Chapter 13 DarkWorld refused to take part in [[DeadlyGame the magical girl battle royale]] when their Omnis suggested it, the only one to do so. [[DefiantToTheEnd Even if this meant losing her life at the hands of those she used to call her friends]].]]
* JumpedAtTheCall: She loves magical girl anime, and the instant she's told she can become one, she goes for it wholeheartedly. Even when [[CerebusSyndrome things get more serious]] in the story, Iroha remains the most committed to continuing the fight no matter what.
* KillingYourAlternateSelf: [[spoiler:Defied by Iroha. In chapter 13/Final Chapter of the 2nd arc, after both Iroha and Omnis gets brutally impaled by Nemesis Iroha, she gets resurrected by being teleported into the White Room by Kamisaman. However, she refuses to be resurrected back to Shibuya because she couldn't stand watching her Nemesis AlternateSelf suffering, and she doesn't want to kill or to be killed by her again because of Nemesis Iroha's DarkAndTroubledPast.]]
* TheKnightsWhoSaySquee: Iroha is a ''massive'' fan of the in-universe magical girl shows and of the genre in general. Upon becoming one herself, with all the colourful joy that entails, she continues her obsession in full, determined to match and outdo her beloved fictional heroines in real life.
* LeeroyJenkins: At worst, her HotBlooded tendencies manifest as this. [[CharacterDevelopment Experience teaches her to be careful about it]] and explain her actions and motives to her friends before charging forth, however.
* MeaningfulName: "Iroha" refers to the Japanese pangrammatic poem, used like an alphabet and, as an expression, "the A-B-Cs/basics of something", while "Asobe" means "play". Iroha herself happens to be a [[StockShoujoHeroine quintessential "standard magical girl protagonist", a "basic" character]], with [[GenkiGirl a very playful and energetic attitude]] about everything she does. She's also the first magical girl you get, with whom you learn ''the basics of gameplay''.
* OneOfTheBoys: While unquestionably feminine [[RoseHairedSweetie in a cute, girly way]], Iroha greatly enjoys joining neighbourhood kids to play team sports and engage in other active, rather boyish pastimes. The only hobby that supersedes this is [[TheKnightsWhoSaySquee her obsession with everything magical girl-related]].
* TheParagon: By far the most zealous magical girl and the one most giddy to recruit more for the team, as well as striving to keep everyone's spirits and commitment up.
* PinkHeroine: Her magical girl colour theme; in normal form, her hair and eyes are closer to a mix of brown and magenta-red, but even in her school and street clothing, she has a lot of pink items and accessories.
* PluckyGirl: She’s an energetic and sporty girl who has a strong sense of justice. When she transforms into a magical girl, she fights demons in a HotBlooded and exaggerated manner.
* TheProtagonist: While all of the twelve girls are full-blown protagonists of the game, some of its UI is clearly modeled after Iroha's personal theme of paint and droplets of vivid colour where no other girl's theme is thus reflected, and Tobio/Omnis shares a particular bond with her.
* StockShoujoHeroine: '''Directly combined with''' StockShonenHero traits for an explosively bright mix. Iroha seems to embody the "stereotypical" magical girl heroine traits in a very vivid and engaging way, both serving as a {{Foil}} to the more unconventional heroines and reminding the audience why these traits are appealing in the first place.
* WeaponOfChoice: Her magical weapon is a giant paintbrush. According to Kamisaman's loading screen information, Iroha's traits/personality are like a paintbrush that "paints" the white empty canvas of her life. She further calls Iroha's mode of living "running around freely on instinct".

Iroha’s childhood friend and her best friend. A "plain and normal" girl without any strange or niche interests, who prefers the normal and ordinary and has simple and "typical" wishes for her life, preferring to follow social trends and conventions and sharply contrasting with her [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} best friend Iroha]]. Becomes a magical girl heroine to help Iroha fight off the demons that gave them both the wake-up call to adventure.
----
* ACupAngst: Overly conscious of her flat chest, not helped at all by her friends occasionally joking about it. Kaori herself generally believes that BuxomIsBetter, which does not help one bit.
* ADateWithRosiePalms: In the DX version at least, Kaori seems to be the type to find "self-satisfaction" in variety of situations she ends up in.
* AppearanceAngst: Despite wishing to be "average and normal", she confesses to envying the beauty and cuteness of all the other girls and wishing she could be more like any one of them.
* ButtMonkey: Kaori is often teased or ignored by her friends and other people. Some viewers find it [[TheChewToy funny]]. [[spoiler:It's PlayedForHorror in [[WhamEpisode Chapter 4 Episode 5 of the main story]]. Kaori is the first victim of the protagonist party to be slain and corrupted into a demon.]]
* CharacterDevelopment: After getting into the magical girl life and acquiring more powerful dresses, Kaori's quotes begin to reveal that, despite her constant insistence on IJustWantToBeNormal, in truth, [[IJustWantToBeSpecial she actually always wanted to be special]], but never believed that she had what it takes to become someone special in any way due to her very low confidence and self-esteem. As her magical power grows, she begins to realize this is not the case, and though her behaviour in daily life does not change much, internally she becomes happier.
* ChildhoodFriend: With Iroha; Kaori's bond with her is what drives her to keep going as a magical girl, while Iroha is always there to keep her spirits up and watch out for her.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: [[spoiler:In the final episode of Chapter 4, fittingly titled "End of the Daily Life" or "How Normal Ends," Kaori is blindsided by a stray demon, critically wounding her and causing her to [[{{Squick}} slowly and agonizingly die from massive internal damage]], [[GutPunch fully voiced and shown onscreen in heartbreaking detail together with her friends' horror and despair]], followed by the TransformationHorror and [[AndThenJohnWasAZombie her subsequent corruption into a demon]]. This marks the onset of CerebusSyndrome for the story and kicks off Omnis's desperate GroundhogDayLoop in an attempt to SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong.]]
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Her eyes are blue, just like her hair color.
* DieOrFly: The main reason she becomes a magical girl is not Iroha's encouragement, but the simple fact that demons were overwhelming Iroha and made it a choice between doing so and saving them both, or dying alongside her. As time went on, Kaori admitted that at least part of her came to like her new, badass powers and being able to be cool alongside her best friend rather than stay in her shadow.
* {{Fangirl}}: Early on, she gets easily starstruck by Seira and Iko.
* GoodSamaritan: Like a toned-down version of her friend Iroha's ChronicHeroSyndrome, Kaori suffers from an almost compulsive desire to help anyone who might ask her for assistance with anything they may need her for. Tobio being able to appreciate this and helping her in turn kickstarts her feelings for him.
* HartmanHips: Her lower body is ''very'' attractively shaped and easily compensates for her small chest. Sadly, Kaori [[AppearanceAngst doesn't seem to notice]], despite Iroha [[DiscussedTrope directly pointing this out to her]].
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: In Chapter 12 Episode 5 of 2nd Arc, you'll know something bad has happened when [[spoiler:Kaori [[UnstoppableRage goes berserk]] after witnessing her best friend Iroha and Omnis get brutally ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice by Nemesis Iroha a.k.a. Iroha's [[AlternateSelf Ultimate Magica self]], who has become a FallenHero. As seen in this [[https://imgur.com/a/CZzBt5m CG sequence]].]]
* ReluctantWarrior: At first, Kaori doesn't want to deal with all the dangerous hassle that comes as part of a magical girl's life -- she'll still fight out of a sense of duty and to help her lifelong best friend, but she sees it more as "Iroha's thing". However, over time, she TookALevelInBadass and came to enjoy the action in her own right.
* RidiculouslyAverageGuy: She ostensibly ''wants'' to be this... and already is in some ways, which is a RunningGag in some of her lines and situations she ends up in. Sometimes, everything she does ends up average -- not particularly good, but not really bad either. Her reaction is usually perplexed, suggesting she may want to be more than just "average" after all.
* ShyBlueHairedGirl: She has marine blue hair. Unlike Iroha, she’s more rational, [[NoSocialSkills shy]] and prefers everything "normal".
* IJustWantToBeNormal: Kaori likes things being "normal and ordinary", would much rather live a "boring old normal life" as expected of girls like her and is not at ease with magical girl adventures, largely being pulled along by her [[ChildhoodFriend lifelong friendship with Iroha]]. The more [[MindScrew unsettling]] [[NightmareFuel things]] in the story are liable to leave her rattled and her resolve shaken.
** [[CharacterDevelopment As her time as a magical girl goes on, however]], she begins to lose her apprehension and gain a heretofore rarely expressed happiness and satisfaction with her newfound lot -- revealing that, ultimately, she was so obsessed with being normal because of poor confidence, believing "normal" to be the best she could aspire to, and thinking she lacked any kind of "cool and outstanding" features that people, in her view, need to become special (which seems to be directly related to her AppearanceAngst as well); in truth, [[IJustWantToBeSpecial she ''did'' always want to be someone awesome and cool]], but [[TragicDream believed it to be out of her reach]]. Becoming a magical girl ended up being a blessing in disguise for her psyche.
* HeroicBSOD: After [[spoiler:Omnis browbeats [[MindScrew the lore of the setting]] out of [[ElusiveEmpoweringEntity Kamisaman]] and explains everything to his magical girls, Kaori doesn't take it very well]]. [[HesBack She gets better]].
* WeaponOfChoice: Her Magical Instrument is a giant plume pen because it symbolizes sincerity. However, the hidden part of the feathers is unknown, even Kamisaman is curious about it. According to the fans, the feather part implies Kaori's inconsistency and [[NoSocialSkills awkwardness]], just like a feather, which moves back and forth.

Arihane's resident school beauty and all-around perfect student, and Cocoa's best friend. Universally admired throughout Arihane. Initially very skeptical of the magical girl situation, but Cocoa's more eager involvement in it causes her to join the team as well.
----
* AloofDarkHairedGirl: Seira has purple, medium-length hair, an elegant style, a tall body and a calm voice. In the loading screen, Kamisaman describes her as a “cool beauty” and suggests that she become a fashion model.
* ButNotTooForeign: Seira's grandmother is British, so Seira is quarter-British. Kamisaman also states that this might be the reason why Seira likes drinking black tea.
* ClassicalMusicIsCool: Firmly believes this, to the point of standing outside the Arihane musical club's window to listen to them practice. Tobio's understanding of how this can be pleasing, as well as familiarity with classical composers, go a long way to furthering their relationship.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: The color of her eyes and hair are purple.
* DaintyLittleBalletDancers: If her classically-cultured ProperLady appearance didn't seem complete enough, Seira's gacha dress reception pose is a standard ballet practice stance. Dress episodes reveal that she had indeed received formal ballet training, though by the time of the game's events, she'd quit.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: The reason for her aloof and withdrawn behaviour is the loss of her beloved older sister in a car accident.
* GracefulLadiesLikePurple: Seira is essentially a young and modern ProperLady, and her character colour code is "french lilac" purple, reflecting in her hair, eyes and most of her outfits.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:Pushes Kaori out of harm's way only to be brutally crushed to death and [[AndThenJohnWasAZombie become a demon]] during the reality-warping GroundhogDayLoop.]]
* NeatFreak: {{Downplayed}}. While she does not aggressively demand total cleanliness, she's still obsessed with keeping her home tidy and orderly, greatly dislikes messy and dirty places and situations, and insists on cleaning up her friends' rooms after seeing just how [[TrashOfTheTitans disorganized and untidy]] some of them can be.
* NeverBeHurtAgain: As a result of the above DarkAndTroubledPast. Comes out in crippling force in the bond episodes chronicling her relationship with Tobio. A big reason for her becoming a magical girl is to save her best friend from peril and not lose her to demons after she failed to convince her to stay out of it.
* {{Meido}}: {{Downplayed}} due to never being directly stated, but the her magical girl weapon (a vacuum cleaner), the design of most of her dresses and her obsessive love of cleanliness and cleaning combine to give off a possibly accidental impression of this.
* RedOniBlueOni: Introverted, thoughtful, reserved and quiet blue to Cocoa's boisterously lively red.
* SchoolIdol: She's the Arihane school idol, with all the other students looking up to her.
* WeaponOfChoice: A vacuum cleaner, which is said to represent her desire for things to be nice and tidy, and also remove the "dust" of DarkAndTroubledPast.
* WeightWoe: Seira is overly worried about gaining weight, despite already being very thin and slight. While she does not seem to suffer from anorexia or eating disorders, there does appear to be a psychological complex involved.

A bubbly, cheerful and unrelentingly sweet student at Arihane with a surprisingly mature side. Seira’s best friend and very popular among the student body in her own right. Joins the magical girl team after she notices certain irregularities associated with demons and the way their victims disappear and shows ability to see Omnis, pushing Iroha and Kaori to reveal their secret.
----
* BuxomIsBetter: Her big bust size is one of the reasons why Cocoa has lots of friends in her class. Cocoa herself is both fully aware of this and doesn't mind if others are EatingTheEyeCandy, though she reserves the right to tease them about it.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: The color of her eyes and hair are yellow.
* ForHappiness: Cocoa's life creed is to always be upbeat and positive, especially when things are dark.
* GenkiGirl: She might be a bit childish, but she’s also a cheerful and energetic teenage girl.
* GirlishPigtails: Very long and distinctive ones, not crossing into MegaTwintails territory only due to being fairly thin. An organic part of her {{Kawaiiko}} style of choice.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Perhaps one of the sweetest characters in the game, but also wise and well-adjusted, managing to combine that with a playful and fun-loving attitude.
* InSeriesNickname: Cocoa is often called "Coconyan" since she almost always ends her words with "nyan". Besides that, she is nicknamed "Busty Loli" by Kamisaman due to [[{{Kawaiiko}} her cute, child-like appearance]] and [[BuxomIsBetter big bust size]]. In the English version, the latter term is euphemistically replaced with "the perky pigtails type".
* {{Kawaiiko}}: {{Invoked}} by Cocoa, as she wishes to "enjoy all of life's little quirks and stay cute while at it!"
* MissingMom: The reason she had to take on a caretaker role in her family. Cocoa takes the situation with a surprising amount of strength and wisdom, in sharp contrast to her best friend [[NeverBeHurtAgain Seira]].
* TheNicknamer: Often comes up with [[AffectionateNickname cute nicknames]] for her friends, including Omnis and Tobio ("Tobiocchi"). The others take it in stride, and sometimes it manages to raise their spirits -- even [[AloofDarkHairedGirl Hanabi]] seemed to crack a smile upon being called Nabipanpin.
* PromotedToParent: Since her father works all the time and her mother is dead, she's often left to raise her two little brothers on her own. Surprisingly, this does nothing to impact her cheerfully bubbly attitude and lines up with her love of family and home life.
* RedOniBlueOni: Extroverted, energetic, boisterous and life-loving red to Seira's serene and withdrawn blue.
* StagingAnIntervention: Tobio performs one with her and her father to address the mild ParentalNeglect he displays by taking Cocoa's standing-in for a housewife for granted even as it starts to hurt her. It works.
* TeamMom: Despite looking young, she's markedly resilient and wise and used to playing a mother-like role for her little siblings. She applies it in full to help her friends deal with events and interpersonal dynamics.
* ThirdPersonPerson: {{Downplayed}}, but she's still fond of playfully referring to herself in third person every so often, and is the only character to do so.
* VerbalTic: Adds "nyan" to the end of most sentences and many words, and to some of her battle cries.
* WeaponOfChoice: Cocoa's Magical Instrument is a "No Entry" street sign pole. According to Kamisaman, it symbolizes her [[RebelliousSpirit rule-breaking personality]].
* WiseBeyondTheirYears: Despite being a highschooler, she has a more adult and mature outlook on life than many actual adults, certainly more so than her fellow magical girls.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Her hair is yellow, despite her being pure Japanese.

The Secretary of the Takeraho Academy student council. A very serious-minded and intelligent girl who has some trouble socializing. Initially among those disappeared after being consumed by demons, her restoration and rescue pushed her to join the fight against them in order to prevent this from happening to others. Quickly becomes a de-facto strategist and tactician of the group.
----
* BackFromTheDead: {{Exaggerated}}. Technically back from being RetGone after the demon that ate her and erased her from existence was slain. This left her with a strong drive to prevent demons from running amok and a commitment to fighting them as a magical girl.
* BerserkButton: {{Downplayed}} due to [[TheStoic her personality]], but she is greatly annoyed by others mistaking her for a kid due to her short stature and ACupAngst, or talking down to her.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Downplayed. Her hair color is dark purple brown, while her eye color is vivid purple.
* CreepyMonotone: Her default way of speaking. It comes off somewhat in emotionally charged and stressful situations, but she's right back to it afterwards.
* DeadpanSnarker: Akisa seems to love speaking her mind in sarcastic and occasionally blunt fashion, offering almost snide-sounding observations when others screw up or make fools of themselves, or to express her own feelings on a situation. A remarkable amount of her home screen/karaoke room dialogue consists of this. Fortunately, her friends mostly let it slide and treat it as her amusing quirk.
* DoingResearch: Tries to apply her outstanding intellect and analytical thinking skills to dissecting the things the magical girls encounter -- from the overall mystery they find themselves in, to specific situations, and even attempts to catalogue, taxonomize and research the demons they battle.
* EmotionlessGirl: At least [[BeneathTheMask on the outside]], Akisa prefers to show very little emotion and come across as purely analytical.
* EmotionsVsStoicism: Places herself firmly on the "stoic and rational" side, but is far from being a stranger to emotions and outbursts.
* EveryonesBabySister: Somewhat to her chagrin, her three closest friends [[{{Moe}} find her very cute]], though it doesn't diminish their respect for her serious talents and accomplishments. Though she's about the same age as everyone else, the Takeraho council treat her like she's their little sister - including [[BigBrotherInstinct acting very protective of her]]. In no small part, it was Akisa being in danger that pushed the other three to embrace the calling of a magical girl so as to help save her, and they still continue to look out for her and try to somehow brighten up her day.
* GoodWithNumbers: Has a strong talent for math and calculating things.
* {{Kuudere}}: A different flavour from Hanabi, mostly defined by her cool emotionless detachment that melts away in some circumstances to reveal her great care for her friends and strong capacity for love.
* HornyScientist: While not a full-fledged scientist yet, she's a TeenGenius version, and she's ''very'' quick to progress her relationship with Tobio after they meet, immediately beginning to sit between his legs on her home sofa as her preferred seating spot, and [[CovertPervert much more]] in the {{NSFW}} version.
* HypercompetentSidekick: All of the student council effectively defer to her as the real brainpower behind its activities, despite her being the secretary and not the president or vice-president. A positive version of DragonInChief.
* FourthWallObserver: {{Downplayed}}, as she doesn't seem to be directly aware of it, but many of her idle lines in the magical girl karaoke room clubhouse, as well as in some other quotes, reference some invisible force dictating her actions in the same ways the player does. Putting this together with her obsession with quantum physics and multiverse theory, she seems close to MediumAwareness, but still at the hypothesis stage.
* MinorLivingAlone: According to Kamisaman’s loading screen information, she lives far from her parents so they won’t worry about her. Kamisaman also worries if she feels lonely.
* NerdActionHero: Likes to fancy herself as TheStrategist and TheSmartGirl with a staggeringly broad spectrum of scientific knowledge... but when her friends are in danger, she can and will get physical and beat the demons into the ground herself, or at least try her best to do so, and look like a bona-fide action hero doing it.
* NotSoStoic: She usually never expresses her emotions and has a monotonous voice, but when she drops her guard, she displays a very caring and somewhat impulsive side.
* OlderThanSheLooks: She looks like a child, but she’s actually a teenage schoolgirl. Expect a slight BerserkButton moment whenever someone mistakes her for a kid.
* RedOniBlueOni: Forms one of the three such pairs in Magicami with Eliza, playing the part of a quintessential blue oni.
* TheSmartGirl: Poor Akisa, she's just a secretary although she's the most knowledgeable/smartest among all heroines--she's even smarter than Eliza. Kamisaman states that Akisa is the "true" leader of the Takeraho student council. Fortunately, she shows her skill in "R.T.S (Run To Survive)" event by giving the rest of heroines some tasks, depending on their specialties when all of them are stranded on the island (such as commanding Ao to cut trees by using her martial art skills, since Ao was once a member of the Kendo club, etc.).
** A particularly important and interesting aspect of this is Akisa's deep interest in UsefulNotes/QuantumPhysics and multiverse theory: not only does it paint her as [[TeenGenius incredibly smart and gifted for her age]], but it also makes her uncannily in tune with TheMultiverse situation of the game's setting and lets her immediately understand Omnis' explanations, often raising the same questions about their situation the players might wish to know answers to.
* TheSpock: Almost a minor {{Expy}} in character, and playing that role for the Takeraho council team.
* WeaponOfChoice: A gigantic bronze key used as a bludgeon. Speculated by Kamisaman to relate to her closed-off nature as well as to her love of unlocking mysteries.

* BoobsOfSteel: Somewhat {{Downplayed}}, but despite her intense athletic regimen and amazonian physique, she also has breasts to match Iroha's and coming close to Cocoa's, for whom large bust size is a key appearance feature and a source of ACupAngst in some of their friends.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: The color of her eyes and hair are blue.
* DaddysGirl: Idolizes her father and has learned a lot from him, which accounts for a lot of the traits she's developed.
* EvenTheGirlsWantHer: Ao is so handsome that she has her own female fan club called "Prince".
* HotBlooded: Goes about her life with a shonen-grade intensity and passion, particularly in anything related to sports, physical exercise, her obligations and fighting threats.
* HugeSchoolgirl: With her height at 174 cm, she's the tallest among all magical girl heroines.
* IAmNotPretty: Often acts bashful and dismissive when others compliment her beauty or mention the reactions she provokes in bystanders.
* IdiotHair: She has a hair antenna.
* KendoTeamCaptain: {{Downplayed}} -- it's not stated whether she used to be the captain before she quit to study more, but the hallmarks of the trope all apply: kendo is Ao's martial art of choice, she's deriving the same high status as a student council president, and her personality and traits fit the trope.
* MeaningfulName: Ao「蒼」has blue hair, her name is a homonym for「青」, which means "Blue" in Japanese.
* MuscleAngst: Dearly wants to look ripped, and is disappointed that although she's already by far the greatest athlete among all the known characters and is prodigously strong and tough, her body doesn't seem to build up too much visible muscle.
* PassionateSportsGirl: Prime example of the trope.
* PolarOppositeTwins: She’s one of Ohtori twins, athletic and tomboyish compared to her very feminine sister.
* StatuesqueStunner: As a direct result of her height and looks.
* RealWomenDontWearDresses: Ao strongly believes this, and is less than enthused by [[GirlinessUpgrade many of the magical girl outfits]] she gains to fight the demons.
* RedOniBlueOni: Ironically, despite her blue theming and MeaningfulName, plays the part of a typical red oni to Aka's blue, being the energetic, very spirited and active one.
* RomanticFakeRealTurn: How she ends up becoming Tobio's girlfriend after initially seeking him out for advice for dealing with unwanted romance because of his proven prior trustworthiness.
* {{Tomboy}}: Looks and acts like a {{Ladette}}, but [[AllGirlSchool the Takeraho all-female student body]] treats her like a {{Bifauxnen}}. She’s broody, masculine, and aggressively chivalrous, and wears a TomboyishPonytail to match. She's also a former member of the Kendo club and quit only to pursue studying more closely.
She wants to be the strong, muscular, powerful protector and champion, not YamatoNadeshiko (though this does not stop her from maintaining a deep sisterly bond with the [[ExaggeratedTrope exaggeratedly]] [[GirlyGirl feminine]] Aka). However, she also doesn't have any gender issues per se, and is completely straight, much to the dismay of many a SchoolgirlLesbian at Takeraho.
* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: Despite her passion to be masculine physically and mentally, she has [[CutenessProximity has a soft spot on smart, short yet adorable Akisa]] and adores her a lot. In the home page of Shinsengumi limited-time event, one of Ao's textline is this:
-->'''Ao:''' Akisa is so cute! Akisa is so cute! Akisa is ultimately cute!!!
** In general, she seems a lot more comfortable with letting her potent inner femininity out in episodes with Tobio as well. While she always remains active and physical, she also displays plenty of care and affection and acts every bit the blushing schoolgirl blended together with a spirited personal trainer flair.
* UnwantedHarem: Ao is [[IncompatibleOrientation not enthused nor comfortable with]] how attractive the girls-only Takeraho students find her attempts to look and act more man-like. One instance of this unwittingly serves as the instigator of her romance with Tobio as she seeks him out for advice on how to deal with this.
* UnwillinglyGirlyTomboy: A textbook example; she's unquestionably beautiful. Directly ties into her belief of [[RealWomenDontWearDresses dresses sapping her coolness]], though in the higher-tier Magica dresses, she is mollified enough by the expressed power to accept the FrillsOfJustice as a necessary evil.
* WeaponOfChoice: A {{BFS}} made out of rebar and a huge metal frame. Kamisaman speculates it to be the expression of "a sword without an edge", symbolizing her desire to be like a man on the inside and the outside, and the differences that set her apart from that ideal.

The Vice President of the Takeraho student council. Ao's twin sister, but much more feminine and flirtatious in comparison. Becomes a magical girl together with Ao and Eliza and asserts herself as one of the team's emotional balancers.
----
* BastardAngst: The underlying cause behind the more unconventional sides of her lifestyle.
* BirthdayHater: she's the product of infidelity on her mother's part. While there's no indication anyone in her family resents her, she still feels like her presence strains things, especially on her and Ao's birthday. This comes to a head during her birthday event where Tobio had to jump between dates with Ao and Aka.
* CompensatedDating: Appears to be how she sustains her expensive body care and beauty treatments, as well as simply a source of sustenance in her time as TheRunaway.
* CoyGirlishFlirtPose: Her after-combat celebration stance is this trope firing on all pistons.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: The color of her eyes and hair are red.
* DoubleEntendre: She laces almost all of her dress quotes and lines addressed [[AsideComment directly to the viewer]]/Tobio (at least outside of the main story and personal arc episodes) with lots and lots of the stuff. In regular story dialogue, too, much of her speech is very sultry and features the occasional innuendo.
* EthicalSlut: A firm believer in the sentiment of "it's never wrong to love and to act upon it", and gladly treats sensuality and sexuality as a natural part of a relationship. She's only happy to put this into practice in the [[{{NSFW}} DX version]]. Other girls don't quite agree to the same extent as she believes it, [[DiscussedTrope which sometimes comes up in their dialogue]].
* ExtremeLibido: Directly interconnected with the above, albeit somewhat {{Downplayed}} due to being obsessed with romance and love in general, with sex treated as one of its important parts. At its most intense, comes close to AnythingThatMoves territory.
* GirlyGirl: Unlike her tomboyish twin sister Ao, she’s much more feminine and beautiful.
* IdiotHair: Like her twin sister Ao, she has a hair antenna.
* InnocentInnuendo: Not all of her DoubleEntendre-sounding lines are intended by her to come off like that, but it seems she just can't help making everything she says sound sensual (such as referring to hanging out with her own sister as "going on dates").
* MeaningfulName: Aka(丹)has red hair, her name is a homonym for(赤), which means "Red" in Japanese.
* MsFanservice: Frequently highlighted in-universe. Aka is not just pretty, she is also alluring and has [[BuxomIsBetter the largest bust size]] among all heroines. She is not only aware of this, but [[InvokedTrope consciously uses it]] as a core part of her approach to life, and actively cultivates her charms and appeal. Kamisaman worries that [[MaleGaze she’ll be a bad influence for young boys]], however, she also acknowledges there are some reasons [[WeNeedADistraction why this side of Aka could be useful]].
* PolarOppositeTwins: She’s one of Ohtori twins, being very feminine and pretty in comparison to tomboyish Ao.
* PrettyFreeloaders: Has a history of living with lovers she strikes up relationships with, despite her age. Leans directly into CompensatedDating.
* ReallyGetsAround: [[ShamelessFanserviceGirl And is not ashamed of it]].
* RedOniBlueOni: Despite the red theming, is the blue oni to her sister's red, being the relatively passive and serene one.
* RomanticFakeRealTurn: {{Downplayed}}, but the first time Tobio meets Aka has her suddenly claim he's her current boyfriend to escape an unwanted suitor. After they get to know each other a little, Aka happily changes the status from "pretend" to "real".
* TheRunaway: Spends extended periods of time away from home because of her [[BastardAngst difficult family situation]]. While her family still supports her, and she and Ao deeply love each other as sisters, she can't take the dark atmosphere her presence causes at home for long.
* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: {{Downplayed}} due to lack of full nudity, but Aka ''loves'' to wear beautiful and revealing outfits and is ''ecstatic'' about the fact that being a magical girl in this universe means getting to wear [[CostumePorn a dizzying variety of clothing]], expressing her joy at being able to model so many cute and sexy dresses [[BreakingTheFourthWall in the viewing room]]. The same applies to her everyday behaviour - she fully intends for others to enjoy EatingTheEyeCandy.
* SweaterGirl: Her default NonUniformUniform, [[FormFittingWardrobe very closely hugging her curves]].
* TeamMom: Ironically downplayed compared to Cocoa, but the mature-looking Aka still frequently engages in mother-like behaviour, both with her team members and with select others.
* YoungerThanTheyLook: While other magical girls loosely match their age or are OlderThanTheyLook, Aka often comes across almost like a slightly shorter and exceptionally youthful mature woman.
* WeaponOfChoice: A colossal hairpin as big as Aka herself, seeming to suggest her reliance on her beauty and seductiveness.
* WiseBeyondTheirYears: Her image of being like a much more adult and mature woman is reinforced by her remarkable worldly wisdom and impressive emotional and psychological intellgience. In multiple dress episodes, she seems particularly able to give others advice on matters of heart and personal relations.

The Accountant of the Takeraho student council. A quirky rich heiress who joins the magical girl force together with Ao and Aka to help Akisa and her new friends fight off a particularly dire threat.
----
* BunglingInventor: Has a strong interest in robotics, but many of her experiments and inventions range from useless to nonfunctional. This interest doesn't factor into her performance as a magical girl, but does come up in bond and dress episodes.
* ButNotTooForeign: Half-Japanese and not completely in tune with Japanese culture, also the source of her [[PhenotypeStereotype looks]].
* CordonBleughChef: In the [[https://twitter.com/mgcm_official/status/1360786103897387010?s=21 official Valentine's Day artwork]], Eliza makes a chocolate experiment by mixing chocolate with a stamina drink and [[EatTheDog a Honey Abalone.]]
* DitzyGenius: Undeniably gifted and intelligent, but amusingly and/or endearingly lacking in courtesy and common sense.
* EmotionsVsStoicism: Very emotional and impulsive in opposition to [[FriendlyRivalry Akisa's]] stoic rationality.
* GeniusDitz: While undeniably academically gifted, Eliza is at the same time prone to many silly mistakes, some of them stemming from her narcissistic tendencies.
* GrinOfAudacity: Her action select menu portrait during battles is just big enough to show the side of a ''massive'' predatory grin on her face. She clearly has a lot of enthusiasm about her job as a magical girl.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: It's less pronounced due to her quirky and self-important nature and TheOjou traits, but Eliza, a natural blonde, is still a decidedly good person loyal to her friends and grateful for their putting up with her quirks - she just sometimes has difficulty showing it due to her {{Pride}}.
* HiredHelpAsFamily: Lives alone in the family home tended to by an elderly butler/guard/retainer [[OldRetainer who worked for her family for a very long time]]. It's noted that the butler is effectively like an uncle or grandfather to her.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: One of her weaknesses is failing to account for others' feelings and egoes, combined with a [[RenaissanceMan natural philosopher]]-like curiosity. Eliza occasionally talks like a researcher pondering a subject of study, [[ImStandingRightHere causing said subject to react if present]].
* ItsAllAboutMe: Often comes out in her interactions with Tobio and others. Fortunately, it's {{Downplayed}} and PlayedForLaughs to the point of being an endearing and amusing quirk.
* TheLancer: She's one of student council elites, but she's also another [[TheSmartGirl smart girl]] and proclaims herself a "genius". No wonder she has a rivalry with Akisa when it comes to intelligence.
* {{Malaproper}}: She's constantly getting idioms wrong, with the other girls exasperatingly correcting her each time.
* TheOjou: Eliza’s family is very rich and luxurious. She also [[OjouLaugh laughs haughtily sometimes]], and calls herself "Chan-sama"(チャン様).[[note]]"-sama" is used to show high respect, as for someone who is socially superior to yourself... referring to ''yourself'' with -sama is considered extremely arrogant[[/note]]
* PrivilegedRival: While Akisa is not poor, Eliza often calls upon her family wealth to enable her pursuits, including in competing against Akisa.
* TheRival: Sees herself as Akisa's main rival, but it's almost entirely one-sided, as Akisa sees it as just another of Eliza's silly quirks. To Eliza, ultimately, it's only a FriendlyRivalry, to the point where she and Akisa collaborate on things, study together and have sleepovers in all but name. Bond and dress episodes show they're usually comfortable with one another.
* RedOniBlueOni: The emotional and impulsive red to Akisa's rational and calculating blue.
* TheSmartGirl: Interestingly, shares the role with Akisa and is very proud of her intelligence. While there is much overlap, Eliza tends more towards experimenting with robotics, with varied success.
* SpiritedYoungLady: Eliza treasures and emphasizes her status as a lady heiress of status and wealth, but is also a free spirit doing things her own way. Certain dress quotes in particular have her proclaiming she [[IDieFree would rather ''die free'']] than allow herself to be controlled. It just so happens that she herself enjoys the trappings of high class and airs of nobility.
* SpoiledSweet: Both ''very'' spoiled (such as all but expecting Tobio to act as her servant in bond episodes and refusing to apologize for wronging others) and decidedly sweet and good-hearted all through the story.
* WeaponOfChoice: A mid-20th century-looking microphone stand. Kamisaman notes it fits Eliza's loud and attention-seeking nature.

A sporty and fashionable girl with a rebellious streak studying at St. Charles, and Marianne's best friend. Accidentally becomes caught up in the Arihane girls' demon-fighting and shows eagerness to become a magical girl as well, and takes to her new role with a great enthusiasm.
----
* AnimeHair: As part of her Gyaru fashion, dyes hers pastel-pink and wears it in a massive drill-like side-tail.
* BestFriend: To Marianne, who otherwise has [[NoSocialSkills little social interaction]]. Lilly seeks to include her in fun activities, but often worries for her safety and wishes to keep her out of harm's way due to her shyness and fearful nature.
* DisappearedDad: Her father is [[GlorifiedSpermDonor a cheater and a wastrel who walked out on her mom]], which leads her to the following trope.
* DoesNotLikeMen: {{Downplayed}}. According to Kamisaman, her father cheated on her mother (which leads to a divorce) and is "abusive" to his own daughter. Because of this, she doesn’t trust men, and she doesn't even get in touch with her older brother, who happens to be TheNarcissist. On the other hand, she's friendly towards boys who prove themselves not to be scum, and she quickly decides Tobio/Omnis is in that category.
* FashionableAsymmetry: Her hairstyle of choice, which happens to match up very well with her magical girl outfits.
* FieryRedhead: {{Downplayed}}; her hair is dyed pink, but her personality is very intense, bold and adventurous. Her softer edges and ability to keep herself in check fit with the softened take on the character type.
* GirlyGirlWithATomboyStreak: Straddles the line between this and more traditional {{Tomboy}}ishness, but her feminine appeal and charm are integral to her character, while combining with her fiery, rebellious, bold and self-sufficient spirit and her interests in rock, rap and gaming.
* GyaruGirl: Somewhere between the Amekaji and Banba subtypes, both descended from Ganguro. [[YouGottaHaveBlueHair Colorful hair]]? Check. Dark skin? Check. Sexy, exaggeratedly casual fashion? Check. Spends most of her time hanging out in Shibuya? Also check. It's implied that her pink hair and dark skin are natural, if you take a look at her AlternateSelf also.
* HiddenDepths: Her boisterous and sexy ValleyGirl-like appearance and behaviour conceal a fundamentally wholesome and sweet core, a musical talent and an interest in gaming.
* LeeroyJenkins: Her confidence sometimes risks slipping into overconfidence while fighting demons. [[spoiler:In one of the iterations of the GroundhogDayLoop, [[TheHeroDies this costs her her life]], though as with [[DeathIsCheap all other heroine deaths]], Tobio's RealityMaking resets her to before that point in a newly merged timeline.]]
* LookingForLoveInAllTheWrongPlaces: {{Downplayed}}, and directly interconnected with DoesNotLikeMen. Lilly ''does'' want a happy relationship, but her preferred GyaruGirl style and ShamelessFanserviceGirl tendencies mostly attract exactly the kind of guys she detests, forming a vicious circle where her attempts at dating disastrously reinforce her disdain for men. Only her [[MeetCute accidental meeting]] with [[NiceGuy Tobio]] ends up saving her from being stuck in this loop.
* MaleGaze: Lilly has a bust size so, umm... big [[EatingTheEyeCandy that even Omnis stares at her breasts for a moment]].
* MirrorSelf: [[spoiler:The DarkWorld Lilly from Chapter 13 is almost entirely the opposite of her prime-world version, possessing an attitude more similar to Marianne (and indeed, the Marianne of that world seems to have switched roles with Lilly as well when it comes to their friendship's dynamic).]]
* MsFanservice: Both in and out of universe. Constantly wears a shirt tight enough that it strains around her sizable bust and risks popping its buttons, and [[CleavageWindow leaves glimpses of her bra and cleavage showing in between]], while also leaving her school jacket tied down around her waist well out of the way. Also tends to walk with a sway to her stride and usually sports a confident smirk to complete her striking and fashionable Gyaru appearance.
* NiceGirl: Although she's rebellious, she's actually a kindhearted girl. Kamisaman states that she's Marianne's only good friend.
* ReluctantWarrior: The [[spoiler:alternate-world]] Lilly seen in Chapter 13 [[spoiler:is more powerful than the prime one, but is disgusted by the DeadlyGame their world is stuck in and wants none of it, [[DiedInYourArmsTonight having lost her friend Marianne to it]]]].
* RuleAbidingRebel: Despite being a Gyaru with all that entails as well as having a bold and free spirit, she doesn't find appeal in rule-breaking for its own sake, and is entirely happy with some "conventional" things if they don't conflict with her principles and desires.
* TheRunaway: For a very short time in Tobio's romance arc, she asks to stay with him and confesses it's because of family trouble. Tobio's firm resolve to sort out the issue and patch up her family relationship cements her falling in love with him.
* SecretTestOfCharacter: In a way, ''her very appearance'' is this for boys and men in her life. Her appearance seems to suggest loose morals and a willingness to get casually wild... but in truth, she ''utterly despises'' the kind of men who would interpret it as her being easy and available for them. The truth of the matter is in the trope immediately below.
* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: Differentiates the good men from the bad based on their moral fiber. Tobio's NiceGuy tendencies, moral rectitude and willingness to stand up for others without expecting rewards or favours are the main reasons for her attraction to him. This extends to his Omnis avatar's displaying the same behaviour. Despite her [[MsFanservice looks]], actually accessing her beauty is a reward only for the kind of man he represents.
* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: Downplayed. While she does not go nude, her "[[CustomUniformOfSexy uniform]]" is constantly on the verge of a WardrobeMalfunction, and she likes it that way. Her clothing [[FormFittingWardrobe hugs her curves and/or emphasizes them]] and offers a very generous ''two-tiered'' CleavageWindow thanks to the way she wears her shirt too tight yet also unbuttoned above her breasts, and if her short skirt wasn't enough, she prefers to sit with [[ShowSomeLeg her legs]] spread ''far'' apart or outright squat, causing her skirt to ride up and [[SceneryCensor only kept from total immodesty by the loose-hanging sleeves of her hoodie tied around her waist]]. Directly {{discussed}} at many points in episode and room dialogue, with Lilly offering some light defense for her preferred risque style.
* TrashOfTheTitans: Doesn't care about cleaning up her room and keeps it in a perpetual state of disarray, much to [[NeatFreak Seira]]'s horrified disdain.
* WeaponOfChoice: An electric double bass, striking both with its [[MusicalAssassin bass notes]] and its pointed base. Kamisaman notes it symbolizes Lilly's inner wish to do good for others expressed through music combined with a desire to be unconventional, displayed through it being electric.

A teenage consummate gambler and St. Charles School's petty moneylender, who is always looking to engage in games of chance and opportunities to make money. Joins the magical girl team after she comes to investigate other students' disappearances and flatly refuses to stand idly by when she displays potential.
----
* BerserkButton: People owing her money. The stated reason she decides to be a Magical Girl is because people who owed her money were devoured, and she'll never get it back unless she saves them.
* BirthdayHater: While she doesn't outright hate it, she treats her birthday as no big deal and even wishes to wrap up the party her friends throw for her quickly so they can get back to other things. She [[{{Kuudere}} does admit she quietly appreciates their attention]] to her and her birthday, however.
* BoyishShortHair: Hanabi has spiky short hair.
* DeadpanSnarker: She expresses anything in a sarcastic or cold manner and teases some of her friends.
%%* DefrostingIceQueen: Her relationship with Tobio, and her changing attitude about being a magical girl.
* {{Delinquents}}: While not exemplifying JapaneseDelinquents trope features, she still has an air of being up to no good and has interests of occasionally dubious legality. Her first bond episode features the game's "dramatic tension" background music underscoring her introduction, something no other girl has. With her gambling addiciton and light loan shark tendencies, she wouldn't feel out of place in ''[[VideoGame/{{Bully}} Bully]]''. She spikes her own drinks at the karaoke bar with alcohol, which she most certainly isn't of age for.
* EmotionlessGirl: Hanabi is the moodiest among the heroines. In fact, she’s more emotionless than Akisa.
* FaceHeelTurn: The Chapter 13 Hanabi from [[spoiler:the DarkWorld alternate dimension appears to have ''murdered'' her world's Omnis in a clever way to gain an unfair advantage in the DeadlyGame he'd suggested for the magical girls, and effectively became the main TeamKiller and a core cause of that world's collapse.]]
* FromTheMouthsOfBabes: Downplayed. According to Kamisaman's loading screen information, when Hanabi is in the 1st grade of elementary school, she answers "Kane"(金)or "Money" when her teacher asks her what her favorite kanji letter is, implying she had a desire for money since childhood. Even Kamisaman thinks she's a scary elementary schoolgirl.
* HiddenDepths: She's perhaps the most hardcore and downright scary member of the cast. She's also able to earnestly offer up almost idealistic or romantic-sounding yet completely sincere phrases about hope, optimism and enthusiasm that sound rather like something [[TheParagon Iroha]] would say.
* IdiotHair: She has a hair antenna sticking out of her hair.
* ItAmusedMe: In an official {{Yonkoma}} [[https://imgur.com/a/LNl5X1U strip]], her favorite game is an analog PlayerVersusPlayer game that requires psychological warfare and tactics, like poker and mahjong. And she also admits that she likes to see how her opponent reacts when he/she loses the game. Judging from her [[CheshireCatGrin smile]], hoo boy... she really enjoys it.
-->'''Iko:''' ''(sweats)'' Isn’t that sadism?
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She never renounces her little (and not so little) vices, and can be very abrasive and hard to deal with sometimes... but at heart, she's a true friend and a kind heroine with all the right priorities in place, which plays directly into her unwavering commitment to being a magical girl.
* {{Kuudere}}: She goes to pains to hide her inner emotions, but she's not quite the tough-as-nails little criminal she pretends to be, and is still a loyal friend. Her behaviour fluctuates between being cool and distant and being prickly and engaging in the classic [[{{Tsundere}} "It's not that I like it or anything!"]].
* LittleMissBadass: Involves herself with (illegal) gambling and acts like a loan-shark with airs of a hardened criminal, despite being a slight high school girl. On top of this, doesn't even seem to be ''afraid'' of the demons.
* PreachersKid: Her father is a long-serving policeman, while her own interests are flirting with the borders of legality and are certainly improper for her age. Kamisaman remarks on the {{Irony}} in loading screen blurbs.
* MrViceGuy: Combines [[{{Greed}} an outsized interest in money]] with the moral commitment to being a magical girl.
* OnlyInItForTheMoney: {{Downplayed}}. Her initial justification for joining the magical girl force is to bring back the RetGone schoolkids who she loaned money to, so they can pay their debts. However, she remains on the team afterwards, further justifying it with her ThrillSeeker nature but clearly happy to be with her friends.
* ProfessionalGambler: Has a consummate passion for gambling and runs gambling games as a hobby, despite being a teenage girl.
* RedemptionEqualsDeath: [[spoiler:The DarkWorld [[FaceHeelTurn villainous]] Hanabi in Chapter 14, upon losing her unfair advantage and being caught by the demonic dragon together with Lilly, chooses to distract the dragon to buy time for Lilly to get away even though she'd just tried to murder her to win the DeadlyGame, and is killed on the spot.]]
* TheQuietOne: ''Very'' economical with her words if she can help it.
* ThrillSeeker: The driving motive behind her gambling and, to some extent, being a magical girl is the joy of taking risks, betting it all and winning anyway.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Markedly more grim and dour than any of the other magical girls, overtly selfish and manipulative, and with illegal interests and hobbies to boot. As a gambling ringleader, she happily resorts to [[ShameIfSomethingHappened threats, intimidation and blackmail]] to keep people playing when they try to quit, ruining their livelihoods and lives in the process. Tobio's romance with her is no exception - where other relationships are various shades of sweet, cute and melodramatic, Hanabi starts out treating Tobio as a plaything, browbeats him into gambling for her, and when he asks to be left alone and fails her proposed LastChanceToQuit, ''[[RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil she immediately rapes him]]'' [[WhatTheHellHero as part of his punishment for defying her]] (SFW-version players get everything save for the rape). She [[CharacterDevelopment does get better]], but no-one else comes anywhere close to the lows she goes to.
* WeaponOfChoice: A ''cruise missile'' wielded like a spear or bludgeon, of all things. Being her "magical instrument", it's not a real missile, but the effect remains. Kamisaman believes it connects with her desire "to destroy the stagnant sides of the world around her".

Her idol persona is the typical cheerful, cute and innocently bubbly deal, but in truth she, a Hiroshima native, is much rougher and down-to-earth, and prone to unleasing pent-up frustration as anger. Becomes a magical girl when her school comes under attack to help the team defend her fans and classmates both.
----
* BoisterousBruiser: Very enthusiastic and loud while fighting, and her action select menu portrait leaves no doubt as to [[GrinOfAudacity how much she's enjoying beating up demons.]]
* ContraltoOfDanger: While her idol career forces her to speak in a typically high-and-cute voice, her real one is much deeper and even somewhat menacing, combining with her hidden aggressiveness and temper.
* ChangingClothesIsAFreeAction: When she's on the stage as an idol, she's able to change her clothes in a flash.
* CheatersNeverProsper: Firmly believes this, and is dedicated to making her fame solely through honest, hard work. So far, it generally seems to play itself straight for her vis-a-vis her competition.
* CuteBruiser: While common to all magical girls, Iko takes it further with wielding [[ImprobableWeaponUser a gigantic lollipop]] like a warhammer/baseball bat and ScreamingWarrior tendencies.
* TheFakeCutie:
** In her life as an idol, Iko has to cultivate the standard "cutie" idol behaviour and mannerisms, but her real personality and mannerisms are much rougher and more aggressive, owing to a less refined and more scrappy childhood life in Hiroshima.
* {{Fangirl}}: Of her Hiroshima home baseball team, and of [[UsefulNotes/{{Baseball}} baseball]] in general.
* HairTriggerTemper: Somewhat {{Downplayed}} and also {{Justified}} by her having to hide her true feelings as an idol, but Iko is still quick to get angry and emotional, and clearly relishes pummeling demons as a magical girl.
* HiddenDepths: Layers of them. To those who're only familiar with her as an idol singer full of GenericCuteness, her inner self being pushy, bristly and quick to anger would constitute this. And those few close friends of hers who are already aware of this layer of her personality are able to discover a yet deeper core, genuinely warm and yearning to love and be loved, and full of the kind of feelings that are considered indispensable for a magical girl.
* {{Kawaiiko}}: She has heart-motif twintails, and her "idol" personality plays to these traits. However, this is just her stage persona [[EnforcedTrope contractually enforced by her managers]]; in private, she’s more bratty, rough around the edges and sometimes downright nasty.
* TheNarcissist: While not to a dangerous extent and remaining in control of herself overall, she ''does'' relish the fame and attention that come with being an idol, considers herself cute and worthy of adoration, and has very little patience for those who would defy and cross her.
* OlderThanSheLooks: She’s already in high school, but her idol persona - and thus her looks - are [[EnforcedTrope managed]] for maximum GenericCuteness, which includes maintaining the superficial appeal of a sweet innocent child.
* SpoiledSweet: Although her behavior is often bratty and child-like, she does behave nicely sometimes, especially when she hangs out with Tobio and the other heroines.
* {{Tsundere}}: Inside, she's kind and forthright but gentle, with an immense capacity for and drive towards love. However, she usually masks it on the outside with a double-layered mask of her idol appearance's enforced generic cuteness and the rough and bristly attitude of a tough provincial girl ready to fend off any real or perceived challenge. She doesn't come out of her shell easily, even with her friends, but it happens often enough for them to know Iko's true depth and inner self and appreciate her for it.
* WeaponOfChoice: A massive wrapped lollipop as big as Iko is tall, swung like a warhammer. Kamisaman speculates it relates to her surface, stage-managed idol personality wrapping around her inner, hidden hard-but-sweet core - and her "true efforts yet unseen".
* WillNotTellALie: When she has the opportunity to use a popular rival's disappearance during a demon attack to further her own career, she restores truth instead by helping return the rival idol and thus losing the lucrative contract she was being offered in her rival's stead.

A shy, nerdy and artistic girl from St. Charles who usually keeps to herself and communicates mostly with her friend Lilly. Becomes a magical girl to help save Lilly and her new friends, returning the favour for Lilly's enduring protective friendship.
----
* AffectionateNickname: Marianne is called "Mario" ("Mar-mar" in the English version, though some episodes also use "Mario") by Lilly.
* ApologizesALot: Unsurprisingly for an insecure ShrinkingViolet. Not as extreme as some examples of the trope, but she still apologizes for a great many things.
* ButNotTooForeign: Marianne is half-French, with her father is from France. However, she can’t speak French at all.
* CompressedAbstinence: According to her home screen conversation with her friends, she likes to buy lots of {{doujinshi}}s (both general and {{NSFW}}). When she's got abstinence, she can't let down her guard for one second without ending up with a new pile of doujins at home.
* CovertPervert: Secretly draws thoroughly {{NSFW}} doujinshi starring the very demons they fight. Furthermore, a rare few of the moments when she freezes up in combat are, by her reluctant admission, not caused by her fear, but [[FoeYay by fantasising about them]]. In one of her dress stories, Tobio is surprised after knowing Marianne has [[PornStash a full stash of H-Games.]]
* CowardlyLion: After her initiation as a magical girl, she's still very afraid of the demons, of messing up during battles and of letting down and endangering her friends. However, she continues to fight alongside them and does her best to not let those fears cripple her, and brings her impressive power to bear.
* {{Dandere}}: She's very shy, but is able to come out of her shell with her friends and act heroic if the push comes to shove. Not to mention her bond episode arc with Tobio.
* {{Kiai}}: Lets out something between this and a ScreamingWoman's cry when she fights demons to psych herself up enough to carry on. However, her scream is later {{averted}} in the Japanese version after the certain update that replaces her screaming voice with her other voice line.
* LoonyFan: Towards Iko the idol singer. Leads to some discomfort on Iko's part if Marianne lets it show too much.
* LikeParentLikeChild: Her father is an artist and illustrator, and Marianne herself is an aspiring mangaka.
* {{Meganekko}}: Kamisaman believes that TheGlassesGottaGo to really show how beautiful her face is. Tobio seems to like her just fine as she is.
* NerdsAreSexy: A self-professed Otaku and LoonyFan with a ''very'' shapely figure, great hair and beautiful facial features. Kamisaman states that SheCleansUpNicely in particular.
* TheNightOwl: Limited in scope due to being an active school student, club member and eventually magical girl, but Marianne still suffers from a lack of energy and drowsiness in the mornings while being much more active and vigorous after sundown.
* NotSoWeak: She's the last to join the team due to Lilly's protectiveness of her driving the magical girls to keep her out of harm's way and shield her from threats. However, when they are [[NearVillainVictory overwhelmed]], Marianne finally takes up the mantle of a magical girl... and turns out to have sufficient potential for power to act as a [[TheCavalry one-girl cavalry squadron]] for her friends.
* {{Otaku}}: She loves anime - specifically niche and obscure kinds, referred to by her as "[[NoTrueScotsman the REAL anime]]" - far more than any other magical girl and is said to often lose entire weekends binging on new anime she recorded in advance. Her room has anime posters on the wall.
* PopCulturedBadass: A colossal nerd and a powerful magical girl.
* ShrinkingViolet: A remarkably pure example of the trope.
* StoneWall: Her powers manifest as this. Her first outing as a Magical Girl has her defending her friends from numerous tremendously powerful demon attacks and barely taking any damage at all.
* VerbalTic: She sometimes adds "su"(ス)to the end or middle of her sentences.
* WeaponOfChoice: Wields a parasol, said to be because she wants a barrier between herself and others, and to shield herself from potential pain.

The protagonist of the game. Tobio wakes up in a strange white room and finds himself able to control a black cat-head avatar called "Omnis" in the real world. A mysterious girl calling herself "Kamisaman", the only other presence in his astral room, appoints him an "Executor" and tasks him with recruiting magical girls to fight demons.
----
* AnOfferYouCantRefuse: Aside from being on the receiving end of one from Kamisaman, several magical girls he recruits end up having to choose between joining the team, who are outnumbered and on the ropes at that moment, in order to bolster it, or watching their friends die before falling to demons themselves, unable to escape. To his credit, he never tries to force the potential recruits to join, but the situations still end up being choices between joining and KillEmAll despite his will.
* AmnesiacHero: He has no memories at all from before waking up in the White Room, and [[OntologicalMystery his personal quest is generally rooted in trying to figure out just what the hell is going on]].
* AudienceSurrogate: While Tobio has his own defined personality and traits, he is very clearly intended for the [[{{Seinen}} target audience]] to project onto and exemplifies many desirable qualities they may wish to see in themselves.
* AFatherToHisMen: Well, women, but Tobio/Omnis is almost a polar opposite to the infamous [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica Kyubey]] and one of the best mentors and leaders a magical girl team could hope for. While he isn't perfect, he [[CharacterDevelopment improves greatly with experience]] to truly lead them with both fathomless compassion and skill.
* ChivalrousPervert: His consummate heroism doesn't preclude his ''personal interest'' in the girls he leads. This turns out to have plot relevance - [[spoiler:only girls who can become romantically/sexually involved with him in one or more of the alternate realities can become magical girls under his mentorship]]. In a more pedestrian application, this becomes an occasional source of ComicRelief, particularly when he gets DistractedByTheSexy.
* DimensionalTraveler: On top of his normal RealityMaker and MergedReality powers, he appears to become an unwilling example of this in Chapter 13.
* DirtyOldMan: One of Tobio's AlternateSelf versions, featured in some of the more ComicRelief-style side and dress episodes.
* ExpositionFairy: Omnis is this to the magical girl heroines.
* TheFaceless: ZigZagged. In the drawn storyline art where he is present, for example in the bond episodes, the focus is always on the girl(s) he's with, while Tobio is depicted in such a way that his face doesn't make it into the frame (such as PoVCam or UnrevealAngle). However, his face is readily shown next to his dialogue when in the White Room (outside of it, Omnis appears instead), and no mystery is ever made of his appearance.
* FeelNoPain: He feels no pain no matter what damage his Omnis avatar takes.
* FemaleFighterMaleHandler: The only way Tobio can assist his magical girls, aside from serving as their [[LivingMacGuffin living]] TransformationTrinket, is to offer them advice in the field (and occasionally elsewhere) and counsel them about whatever they need dealing with. The girls don't always show it, but they genuinely appreciate him for what little he can do and are aware he would love to do more if he only could.
* {{Flashback}}: Much of the important story and details about Tobio, his connection to the magical girls and certain other details are told via flashbacks he experiences, seemingly piercing through his amnesia. They typically occur as DreamingOfTimesGoneBy as Tobio is struck with sudden overwhelming drowsiness to experience them, but brief flashes of scenes from his memory can occur mid-action as well. Apparently, Tobio is also a special boy who is able to [[VisionsOfAnotherSelf perform mental dimension travelling to alternate realities in some dress and all bond episodes]], and so do the heroines.
* HeroicBSOD: The events of [[CerebusSyndrome the story]] don't leave him unscathed, and make him near-unresponsive and hopeless for a time.
* HesBack: With a little help from Iroha's CooldownHug, he's able to rally himself and the girls to fight on.
* InSeriesNickname: Om-Om (Omu-Omu) by Iroha, Om-chan and Ommy by others, Ombre by Lilly, Kitty by Aka. Tobiocchi in his real form, courtesy of [[TheNicknamer Cocoa]]. Every single one happens to double as AffectionateNickname.
* {{Intangibility}}: While he ''can'' be touched (and attacked) by living beings as Omnis, he is specifically stated to be able to pass through walls and floors/ceilings freely. Kamisaman's loading screen quotes reveal she immediately thought this will be used for [[ThePeepingTom perverted ends]]. To his credit, Tobio never seems to think of or want this.
* InvisibleToNormals: Only those with the potential to become magical girls can see Omnis. [[ExploitedTrope This is immediately put to use by the growing team]] to identify prospective recruits, who either remark on Omnis themselves or are asked if they can see him if they display other signs of being magical girl material, such as [[RippleEffectProofMemory being able to remember people who vanished after demon attacks]].
* TheLeader: He's the leader of the Magical Girl group he forms, though it takes him some time to grow into the role and start acting like it.
* MagneticHero: All the Magical Girls seem drawn to him somehow, and it doesn't take long to have a full roster built up around him. [[spoiler:It turns out it's because each of the girls is a possible love interest of his in different realities, so they are "fated" to be involved with him.]] Kamisaman remarks that he gathers up the most magical girls in the shortest amount of time among all Executors she's ever seen.
* MentorMascot: As Omnis, he's in this position for the girls, which is immediately {{Lampshaded}} by Iroha. None of them can access their powers without him around, but he relies on them to do the fighting for him.
* NiceGuy: Fundamentally good, sensible, helpful and considerate and possessed of strong moral fiber. [[ChickMagnet This happens to appeal to a lot of his female friends]].
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: [[spoiler:While Kamisaman is at fault for [[YouDidntAsk not disclosing crucial details]] about Tobio's powers and the nature of the setting, it's Tobio's creation of more and more new timelines to SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong that leads to the battle where Kaori first died [[HopelessBossFight becoming more and more difficult to the point of victory seeming impossible]]. Every time he did so, due to the way timeline merging works, the number of demons they had to fight increased in numbers, because instead of being transposed into the new reality, demons add one more copy of themselves instead, and [[DemonOfHumanOrigin heroines who got corrupted]] start to qualify as demons instead, with their original places taken by the new reality's versions of themselves; thus, even improving his tactical skills could not help the magical girls make it out alive until a [[OutsideContextProblem very unlikely]] [[NiceJobFixingItVillain force]] helped break the stalemate.]]
* NonActionGuy: As Omnis, he has no combat abilities of his own and must leave the fighting to the magical girls. However, they cannot access their powers without him being nearby.
* NoOneGetsLeftBehind: Tobio will go [[{{Determinator}} to absolutely any lengths]] to preserve the lives of ''all'' the magical girls and will brook no compromise when it comes to their fates. Kamisaman remarks that he is the only Executor she's had who was ''this'' determined to not allow any sacrifices in his mission. Moreover, Tobio states his intent to CosmicRetcon reality in order to save ''every single magical girl and every single victim of the demons'' once he is successful.
* PapaWolf: Though they are peers in age, he is ''very'' protective of the magical girls, whom he is very deeply emotionally invested into. He doesn't allow anything that threatens them to remain unaddressed and not taken care of, and is always preoccupied with keeping it that way.
* RealityWarper: His primary power usually takes this form. At first he [[PowerMisidentification mistakes it for time travel]], but in reality [[spoiler:he can create new realities from possibilities he wants and then merge the previous, screwed-up ones with universes he recently created, which includes merging both alive and dead heroines with ones from recently created universes, leading to their memories reset into the moments before their potential deaths]]. However, [[spoiler:using this reality-making and reality-merging abilities has a risk of creating more demons from slain and corrupted heroines, since slain heroines who are corrupted into demons cannot be merged due to certain immunity. Instead, they're replaced by copies from that new universes.]]
* RemoteBody: Omnis serves as this to Tobio. When Tobio's connection to it is disrupted, such as by a specific meaningful line or event triggering a {{Flashback}} or by him consciously "logging out" to return to the White Room and try to speak to Kamisaman, Omnis becomes inert, as if going into a sudden coma, but immediately reactivates when Tobio reasserts control. Desynchronization is always announced with the screen becoming grainy and static filtering in.
* RippleEffectProofMemory: While his magical girls possess this in regards to demons' victims, Tobio/Omnis also knows what happened [[spoiler:in other, failed timelines which he had to "reset" and merge into newly created ones due to unacceptable events occurring, such as one or more of his girls dying or similar things]].
* SaveTheVillain: The abovementioned intent to save everyone applies even to his opponents, such as those who became demons [[spoiler:and White Omnis]].
* SupportingProtagonist: {{Downplayed To a certain extent}}. The story ''does'' directly and heavily involve Tobio/Omnis, but the real focus of the players' attention is on the magical girls he leads and mentors, and it's them who do all the heavy lifting and adventuring, with him present to act as their LivingMacGuffin TransformationTrinket and provide tactical advice and coordination - which justifies the players' point of view of and presence for the action.
* TheOneGuy: Although he's the the only male protagonist in this game, he only serves as a [[NonActionGuy passive player protagonist]].
* WhiteVoidRoom: {{Downplayed}} - Tobio himself is trapped in a strange "White Room", which is simply a version of his own room at home bounded only by blue lines and semi-transparent white walls, located on a [[TrappedOnTheAstralPlane seemingly endless plane reflecting a beautiful sky above]], and does not seem to need food or drink (but there’s a teapot in that room). His only way of interacting with the outside world is by controlling his Omnis avatar/projection via a computer.
* YouWakeUpInARoom: The situation at the start of the game verbatim.

The mysterious girl who appears to have created White Room and invented the Kamisaman System which consists of the Omnisphere, the Dynamisphere app and Sabbath battles, etc. She helps Tobio to use the MentorMascot avatar projection program. [[spoiler:She's also his young sister]].
----
* AloofDarkHairedGirl: Doubling as AloofAlly. Kamisaman's demeanour is rather cool and often unhelpful, though she still technically supports Tobio and drops hints of her rooting for him.
* AloofLeaderAffableSubordinate: Forms this sort of dynamic with Tobio/Omnis.
* AnOfferYouCantRefuse: Forces one upon Tobio, making him choose between becoming her Executor and recruiting Iroha and Kaori as magical girls, or helplessly watching them be devoured by demons they can't fight against otherwise.
* CrypticallyUnhelpfulAnswer: A lot of problems [[CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot could have been avoided]] if she had just ''told'' Tobio more about what was happening and what it all meant, but she has a frustrating habit of refusing to be straightforward and giving very vague advice and descriptions... at least until ''after'' Tobio screws something up.
* EnigmaticEmpoweringEntity: While Tobio plays the traditional magical girl MentorMascot role as Omnis, it's Kamisaman who greets [[InMediasRes his amnesiac self]] in the White Room and grants him all of his powers, leaving much unsaid about them and nothing at all said about herself. As the plot progresses and players learn more details, she remains as cryptic and obscurantist as divinely possible.
* FourthWallObserver: Kamisaman occasionally makes quips that suggest she is aware of being in a game. From discussing "free-to-play" vs "whaling" or coyly suggesting that the player is just skipping past her exposition dialogue to get to the "juicy" parts.
* MeaningfulName: "Kami-sama" would refer to God with a capital G. Kamisaman is apparently [[GuardianOfTheMultiverse in control of the setting's multiverse]], and Tobio acts as her "angel".
** [[spoiler:"Kamisaman" is an expanded anagram of Isana.]]
* ManipulativeBastard: Once everything is revealed, some of the girls describe Kamisaman as this, guessing that she withheld information in order to get Omnis and themselves too deeply involved to back out.
* MysteriousWaif: Kamisaman doesn't have her own biodata written in the game, but she has an adorable appearance and voice.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: You know something has gone ''really'' wrong when Kamisaman becomes surprised or shocked.
* PoorCommunicationKills: The [[CrypticallyUnhelpfulAnswer cryptically unhelpful answers]] and refusal to divulge critical information does not help Tobio or his magical girls. [[spoiler:Because they didn't know how timeline merging and demons work, many new timelines' worth of them were killed, and while the magical girls' selves were fully preserved by Tobio's RealityMaker and RealityWarper powers, [[DeathAmnesia nobody remembers]] ([[RippleEffectProofMemory except Tobio and Kamisaman]]) that they had died in the battle, but some of the slain versions stuck around as demons in the new reality.]]
* SuperDeformed: A chibi sprite of Kamisaman appears on many loading screens to deliver tips, hints and bits of lore and character information, and on all of the game's maintenance notices and error messages.
* {{Tsundere}}: Presents some significant overtones of being one towards Tobio.
* YouDidntAsk: her usual response when Tobio demands to know why she didn't tell him something. On the one hand, he ''did'' rush off without asking anything at the start, but later, when he ''does'' start demanding answers of her, she still refuses to tell him anything and usually cuts the conversation short before revealing anything useful.

!!Demons (and other antagonists connected to demons)
Man-eating monsters that come from another dimension. They serve as the main antagonists.

[[folder:Demons in General]]
* AnimalMotifs: They often take on animal characteristics, and most demon varieties are named after an animal.
* AlienInvasion: Effectively an example of this -- there's a home dimension the demons control completely out there in the multiverse, and their strongest specimens and greatest numbers reside there; from this homeworld, they strike out to invade other dimensions. Many timed events feature the protagonist team giving the demons a taste of their own medicine and invading their dimension right back, usually with some provocation from the demons, but sometimes by Kamisaman's orders or ''by mistake''.
* BarbieDollAnatomy: Demons are generally portrayed as being nude, but don't possess any nipples or genitalia. There are some exceptions -- such as Nymphs, the Arachne and a few of the other special demon bosses, which look like they're wearing lingerie, swimsuits, stockings, legwarmers or clubwear-like apparel -- but since they're constantly in motion, it can be hard to tell.
* BodyOfBodies: The larger-than-human demonic monsters -- the Arachne and their flying counterparts in particular - appear like they're composed near-entirely of many sets of female legs and lower bodies, with a single full female body as the "head" somewhere on top.
* DanceBattler: Demons are portrayed as constantly dancing, even as they fight.
* DemonOfHumanOrigin: Most of them are not, but a select few are, which is extremely important for the story.
* DiesWideOpen: The demons' SlasherSmile expressions never fade even after they're struck down. Likely a limitation of the engine, but it serves to produce an unsettling effect.
* {{Fanservice}}: They are appealingly shaped for this simple reason.
* FanDisservice: They're still warped and very unsettling, the more "evolved" and particularly bigger forms get progressively more grotesque and misshapen with mutation, and that's before considering what they do to their victims. [[spoiler:And some subtypes have hairstyles that are clearly visually similar to one or the other magical girl heroine - with some of them actually likely to be slain and corrupted versions of her.]]
* FateWorseThanDeath: [[spoiler:Becoming one for the magical girls. While Tobio/Omnis is adamant about not allowing a single girl die, the magical girls themselves are terrified of this in particular.]]
* {{Hermaphrodite}}: Discussed in SR Arachne Marianne's dress story. It's confirmed (but also confirmed in [[{{NSFW}} DX version]] in the main story) that (some) demons have hidden tails that are always covered with white liquid besides having breasts.
* HornyDevils: All the demons have blatantly sexual designs, and [[spoiler:at least in [[{{NSFW}} DX version]], they [[FanDisservice rape the dying heroines]] [[{{Squick}} to death]]]].
* HumanoidAbomination: Most of them appear like young women with secondary monster characteristics. More powerful demons, however, begin to look more and more grotesque.
* TheImp: Nymphs compared to all the other demon types. Where normally demons are horrid predators (and worse) who bring death and havoc to dimensions, nymphs seem to mostly cause nuisances and petty disturbances, such as stealing melons from summer resorts and hunting after anything cute to hoard (like magical girl dresses). The magical girls still hunt them down and return their spoils, but any event or sub-story featuring them is always LighterAndSofter compared to the rest.
* MascotMook: It's the demons' distinctively patterned, NippleAndDimed, [[BarbieDollAnatomy smooth-featured]] designs that adorn most of Magicami's promotional materials and many in-game menu backgrounds. The game's social media promo accounts are also represented by two unique demons, Kimberly (red) and Nanase (blue).
* MoneySpider: There doesn't seem to be much reason for the demons to possess the game's currency, gems or various amounts of magical girl dress-enhancing thread, nor anywhere to keep them on their bare and [[BarbieDollAnatomy feature-smooth]] bodies, but any fight with them usually yields some. A particularly strong example is the daily boss Tsuchigumo, who's a literal money spider players are invited to rack up damage high scores on - battles against it pay out currency directly proportional to damage dealt and yield rich loot besides.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: The most powerful demon boss type, the Griffon, is a cross between a wiry winged dragon and a lanky, warped, giant human body, with a smaller demonic torso perched on top of its long, centipede-like neck. It attacks much like a dragon would, drops into an all-fours stance while fighting and has [[BreathWeapon fiery breath-based powers]].
* OneGenderRace: All demons seen have been female. And yes, [[BizarreAlienReproduction there is a reason for that]].
* OurWormholesAreDifferent: The Fool's Clams/Abalones, ''[[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything very]]'' [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything suggestively shaped]] meaty-fungal organisms originating on the demon plane that maintain a constant connection back to it, as well as to other Abalones, and are able to shift whatever goes inside them around. ''Much'' BiggerOnTheInside. Usually, they seem to be able to appear in the normal world if [[TheImp Nymphs]] are able to breach it; magical girls can use them to make excursions into the demon world and return safely.
* PortalCrossroadWorld: The demons' homeworld serves as this due to most direct interdimensional travel (as opposed to MergedReality powers Tobio can invoke) being done through the demons' Fool's Abalone/Clam portals, by themselves and by the magical girls fighting them alike.
* PowerFloats: The flying demon bosses have absolutely no way to keep themselves in the air save for this. Not coincidentally, any flying boss is more powerful than groundbound ones.
* SlasherSmile: All demons sport a huge toothy grin, which never fades even when they're hurt or killed.
* SpaceTimeEater: They devour people's existences. A person consumed by a demon is [[RetGone retroactively erased, as though they never existed in the first place]], although technically, the victims aren't [[CessationOfExistence ceased to exist]] and are still alive after being devoured by demons (However, the victims don't remember what happens when they're inside the demons). Good news is that if the demon who ate them is killed, the person comes back. Bad news is that it might not work the same way if a Magical Girl is consumed...
* SpiderPeople: The Arachne are effectively spider-demons the size of a small house and literal DemonicSpiders (they can very much be that to an unprepared player or at particularly high levels). Other boss demon varieties like Serket and Tsuchigumo seem either related to the Arachne type or mutated from it, tangentially continuing the trope.
* TheVirus: It's revealed that demons have [[spoiler:a terrifying ability to [[AndThenJohnWasAZombie turn magical heroines into demons]] on death, although it isn't always guaranteed]].
* WalkingTechbane: According to Seira's Leucosia dress story, Nymphs have a strange invisible field effect that nullifies electronic waves, especially internet connections.
* WasOnceAMan: Some demons happen to be [[spoiler:[[DeadAlternateCounterpart slain and corrupted magical girls from elsewhere and from other dimensions]] (which 50% of their corpses are subsequently transformed into demons). This includes [[AndThenJohnWasAZombie the heroines of the protagonist party]]]].
* WombLevel: The demon dimension appears to feature ''skyscrapers'' made along these lines, like a demonic counterpart of Tokyo. It's particularly literal, because the demons' blatantly sexual designs extend to this, and the insides of demonic dens and nests appear like the insides of female reproductive systems, additionally growing very suggestively-shaped mushrooms, Fool's Abalone (which only appears in mini-boss stages), and [[MeatMoss squishy, meaty flora]].

He decided, however, that he would not give up on them despite having turned into demons, and he would find some way of returning them to normal. His goal is to become the new Kamisaman, who, he believes, has the power to do that.]]
* DespairEventHorizon: [[spoiler:Being ForcedToWatch his beloved magical girls get slaughtered to the last [[AndThenJohnWasAZombie and turned into demons]].]]
* DidntSeeThatComing: His appearance in the story shocks Kamisaman, who didn't think it was possible for two different possibilities of Tobio to appear in the same world.
* DyingWish: [[spoiler:When he loses the last of his forces and begins to dissolve, his last request is for Tobio to promise to achieve their mutual goal of saving all the magical girls.]]
* DyingCurse: [[spoiler:White Omnis somewhat muddies the above by also bursting into a defeated tirade wishing for Omnis to be RetGone and to be able to take his place instead.]]
* DyingDeclarationOfHate: [[spoiler:As per above, it's a pure outburst of adversarial emotion and [[TragicDream wishing for what he could not have]].]]
* EvilDoppelganger: Acts as one to Tobio, as he leads the demons rather than magical girls, and tries to murder anyone who can become a magical girl before they awaken.
* EvilMeScaresMe: his appearance and what he says severely rattles Tobio, sending him into a HeroicBSOD for a while.
* FallenHero: A version of Tobio/Omnis [[spoiler:who lost his mind after his magical girls were all slain, driving him over the DespairEventHorizon and into]] commanding demons.
* KillAndReplace: White Omnis's goal in Omnis's world is to take over his [[spoiler:Executor role to regain the status he'd lost in his own]] dimension.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: If it were not for his timeline colliding with "Prime" Omnis's desperate merging efforts, the GroundhogDayLoop-like repeating battle "Prime" and his team were locked in could very well have continued to get worse until it became truly impossible. His appearance, however, created an opening for them to escape, regroup and eventually more-or-less SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong.
* NotSoDifferent: Both Omnises' motivations and end goals are effectively the same, including their desire to become new Kamisaman and CosmicRetcon all magical girls back to life and happy endings, Manga/FutureDiary or [[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica Madoka]] style. The difference is that [[spoiler:White Omnis's magical girls [[AndThenJohnWasAZombie were corrupted into demons]]]]. [[DiscussedTrope Discussed]] in the dialogue between the two.
* OutsideContextProblem: ''No-one'', not even Kamisaman, saw this coming.
* TalkingToYourself: Both Omnises share the same voice actor, and White Omnis talks almost exclusively to his "Prime" self.
* TragicVillain: It's impossible to not sympathize with White Omnis, but it's also unconscionable to let him get his way.
* ThereCanOnlyBeOne: Once he appears, both he and Tobio lose their power to jump between realities, since their powers cancel each other out. He declares that one will have to consume the other's existence in the end.
* WalkingSpoiler: Appears midway through the story out of nowhere, and his very existence hints at (and ultimately reveals) many details of the setting and OntologicalMystery.
* WasOnceAMan: Not only was he just like "Prime" Omnis once, but he also appears to [[spoiler:lead demonized, mutated versions of his former magical girls, [[NightmareFuel who're still capable of a glimmer of consciousness and speech]].]]
* WellIntentionedExtremist: While sharing Omnis's ultimate goals, White Omnis does not shy from killing magical girl candidates to deny him new recruits and has no issue leading hordes of man-eating demons.
