So far, out of the R.E.M. albums I have listened to, Out of Time is by far the dullest. The lyrics and music, though danceable, aren't too memorable. However, "Radio Song" is kinda catchy, and "Shiny Happy People" is still a decent children's song, and who could forget "Losing My Religion"? Other than that the album would probably be outright bad. By far my least favorite track is "Endgame", which doesn't even go anywhere—it's like if "New Orleans Instrumental No. 1" went absolutely nowhere with its instrumentation or melody. If you're looking for an album to get into R.E.M., I recommend Document or Automatic for the People. The only thing this album is really good for is measuring the influence among other albums.
Music Out of Time? More like Out of Line.. with other R.E.M. albums
