Most of the time when I browser for reviews of this anime, I finds that people greatly hate this series. The anime, according to them, has horrible animation and character designed, I haven't even begun to search for reviews on the manga. If you are one of those people, I'd like to say one thing: Remember when you were a kid and used to watch Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy all day long, and laugh you're guts out at the jokes, and how the background was drawn SO CHEAPLY, SO THAT THE SKY BLEEDS INTO THE TREE AND VICE VERSE!? But you didn't care because the jokes were so good. Congratulations to any one who thought 'Oh, hey, that sounds a lot like Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku!'
And really, the animating isn't that bad, it amazes me that people can give a great show like this bad reviews but praise Lucky Star like a god. Lucky Star, that show was bland, had way to many reoccurring characters in such a sort time, and it took the phrase 'A Slice of Life Anime' WAY to seriously.
Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku, however, gave you characters that you'll love, jokes that you can't go without at least chuckling at, and occasionally broke the fourth wall without a second thought. Japan, I praise you for bringing back all the joy Ed Edd n Eddy brought me.
I can respect that people have different people have different opinions, but I greatly encourage that you watch this anime and see if it can bring you as much joy as it brought me. And don't forget to leave you're own review, show the show some love.
Manga Spread the Joy.
