This is a beautifully written fic by an author who knows what they're doing. The plot is consistently surprising, the characterization is interesting and new, but more than that, it's creative. I've never been more surprised by a fic, and the surprises never seemed like cheap plot twists - spicedcheese gets my vote for best het writer in the fandom. Incomplete, not abandoned.
