Hey, just noticed that you reviewed my fic. I appreciate it! I acknowledge your comment on a slowish start - this is generally true for most of my fics, particularly loooong ones. As for Harry's versatility- I always thought that was a HP Wizard's greatest asset. They're pretty squishy on the whole, but a well-prepared wizard can do a lot. Incidentally, the cheering charms were a bit of a joke: it's clear even in that scene that it's not those that get Bruce off his rage-high. ;)
Anyway, now I'm being defensive. :P
Any adult wizard would be overpowered in a place full o muggles. And harry here is 30; it is only natural that he knows more spells than in cannon, besides this is the master of dearh we're talking about, he IS supposed to be powerful even among wizards.

it's always fun to see nick fury squirm
combination AU and For Want Of A Nail, the story features a postHogwarts!Harry who decided to get away from it all... by jumping universes and ending up in the marvel/avengers-film continuity. the timeline is just shy several weeks/months prior to ironman 1 and goes from there, most of the fun for me was watching how SHIELD tries to categorize Harry's, or rather, "The Magician"s powers. sort of a slow start, but MPriest does a fairly decent RDJr!Stark, and extra wit is always appreciated.
my only complaint is that harry seems a bit overpowered, not in the straight sense because he's outclassed in raw strength, but with the versatility of the spells available give him almost an answer to everything.
other than that, so far the story's second arc somewhat follows iron man 1's plot up to the iron monger, although with significant changes, and then jumps into its own plot from there. well worth reading if you've got a free week(end)
