Reservoir Dogs: An observation.

Several men with very different personalities are gathered in the same room after a crime has been committed. Their real names are not revealed, and they instead refer to each other by assigned names following an obvious pattern. The narrative is almost solely driven forward by their dialogue and actions, as opposed to external events. As their interactions go on, we not only learn more about who they are, but also get the pieces required to understand the events leading up to the current situation. Various minor conflicts take place, and it all culminates in a rather touching finale about attachment, anger and responsibility. As the credits roll, a handful of important questions are left deliberately unanswered.

Is it possible that this film - deliberately or not - was Quentin Tarantinos remake of Twelve Angry Men for the 1990s?

On second thought this should probably have gone in WMG, but it's too late for that now. If you want my opinion on the film, here it is:

It's the second Tarantino film I've seen (the first was Pulp Fiction). I, unlike some other people, don't consider his works epic masterpieces deserving to be analyzed for centuries to come. However, I find them interesting and well worth a watch. I don't have any complaints about either of them, but they didn't blow my mind.

This implies, quite correctly, that my mind is dark and damp and full of tiny translucent fish.

Interesting comment/review. Tarantino is an incredibly entertaining director, but he isn't nearly as deep as some make him out to be. Still, Pulp Fiction and Resevior Dogs are great fun.
