Overall a beautifully written series that any anime fan should watch at least once

Erased is a fantastic series based around one sentence that everyone who has ever lived has thought at least once in their lifetime. "If I could go back in time, I would do things differently."

Our protagonist is Satoru Fujinuma, a heavily depressed and emotionally shut down 29 year old struggling manga artist and part time pizza delivery boy who has the power he calls Revival, where he ends up in an endless loop that typically lasts several minutes until he finds the cause of it and fixes it, usually to his own detriment. The first instance of this that we see is because of a truck driver who passed out at the wheel. Satoru manages to save the day, but at the cost of ending up in hospital due to crashing his work scooter. His mother comes to visit, and it turns out he keeps her at a distance because of the murder of three children as a kid, one of whom was a friend and the other was a girl he thought he could have helped, and has hated himself for not bothering to try ever since.

After his mother is murdered and Satoru framed for the crime, he experiences a Revival where he's sent back to his kid self's body but retains his 29 year old mind. Realising that he's gone back to before the murders happened, Satoru's determined to save the murder victims from their fates. Overall this is a series that has a ton of great characters, heartwarming moments, some great comedic moments due to Satoru's 29 year old mind reacting to kid situations, plot twists and best of all it doesn't follow the cliches that have plagued anime for the past decade. A must watch for any anime fan.
