I Watched it, You Shouldn't

There's a lot of kinds of Let's Players out there, each bringing their own thing to the table. Nico B's contribution is him making "hilarious comedy voices", punctuated by his own shrieking laughter at how funny he finds himself. He doesn't play games well, nor does he seem to have any real interesting insight into them. He's put all his chips on comedy and, well, watch the first thirty seconds of this episode to see why this was a bad idea.

So rest of this review is redundant. If you aren't already somehow a fan of Nico B, you still aren't. What people see in this series is a mystery to me, but then again, I haven't been ten years old in quite a while. If I can find one positive thing to say about Nico B, it's that he might just be the one thing that gets me into producing my own let's play videos. If I had known the bar was that low, I could have made a fortune by now.

Classy, insult a creator and his fanbase all at the same time instead of providing something actually constructive.

Constructive criticism isn't something a thing inherently deserves. Sometimes, there just aren't any positives to be accentuated; or at the very least, none that can ameliorate the subject to any noteworthy degree... at which point, the pursuit becomes wholly redundant and the very act of doing so requires undue mendacity.

Now, I'm not saying this is the case here, but...

I personally think that reviews\' purposes depend on where they\'re posted and who\'s reading them. The first kind, such as those on this site or customer reviews on sites like Amazon.com, serve to inform viewers about the quality of a certain work, and whether it is worth their time and money. The second kind, such as reviews on Fanfiction.net, are mainly for the author\'s benefit, to let them know that people are reading the work, give feedback on the work and let them know how they can improve. Only the latter needs to have \"constructive criticism,\" but in the case of the former, you should try not to be purely vitriolic, even if the work is terrible.

In any case, I agree with the spirit of TaylorHyuuga\'s post- this review could be better.
