As the title of the review said, this is one of the few good KH crossovers worth reading. The story takes place after PMMM: Rebellion and during the year between KH 2 and Coded, with the prologue chapter set right before KH 2's prologue.
In it, soon after Homura became a demon, Madoka soon interacts with the Heart of a then-sleeping Sora, giving her his light so that she can heal. Cut to a year later and Madoka has been having dreams of Sora for a long while and is given the ability to wield the Keyblade when the Heartless start invading due to Homura's darkness taking down Mitakihara's natural world barriers. After dealing with the Heartless threat, Madoka is thrust into a world-hopping journey in search of Sora, who is now home, in order to save her home from Homura's rule while trying to figure what exactly happened to her and her friends. However, Homura is determined to bring Madoka back home so she can live a perfect, ordinary life, whether she wants to or not.
So far, Reconnect has been an engaging read. The interactions between Madoka and the various Disney and Final Fantasy characters are great, especially with the Alice in Wonderland casts. The author is aiming to develop Madoka as a more independent character without having to work off of the rest of the PMMM cast. The only criticism I have for this story is how Mitakihara felt empty during the Heartless invasion because there doesn't seem to anybody around except the girls. That's all I have to say for Reconnect so far. Go read it if you want a good Kingdom Hearts crossover and/or see a Keyblade-wielding Madoka Kaname.
