Where's the Content?

What's going on Spoony One?

You spend too much time on twitter and make an ass out of yourself.

You always says "you're busy" but there has been little content output since 2015.

You rarely do Wrestle-Wrestle or Counter Monkey now, so seeing the real Noah on camera and be yourself is harder to view now, unless one watches your tons of Livestream let's plays.

You have too much fluff, let's plays and vlogs. But you've had less vlogs as 2015 went on and your livestreams are pretty boring, and you comes off as an ass.

You've had 1 review on an obscure movie in all of 2015, and it was split into 2 parts. What the hell man?

Your storyline is taking way too long because you take way too long making reviews.

Final thoughts. my theory is that Noah is being left behind, his style of reviewing has been getting less and less popular as the days go by, especially when the whole internet Caustic Critic is pretty much old hat by internet standards. Only a few of these critics (angry nerd in front of a camera spewing TGWTG memes and references) seem to gain any actual traction, and a good chunk of them are artifacts of the past.

EG: Jontron, AVGN, Nostalgia Critic, Linkara, and Angry Joe. And even then, Jon has evolved from the Angry Nerd persona to a surrealist comic that appeals to almost everyone. James is doing other things for his channel and giving better production to his AVGN show. Doug has been adding skits in his reviews and now sometimes does clip-less reviews that parody the movie itself while reviewing it. Lewis has been doing the storyline stuff way before Noah has, and he's had multiple arcs and has a steady output of content. And Joe is so detached from his TGWTG roots, and his style has evolved so much, he's eclipsed most of his former TGWTG brotherhood and is more associated with Polaris than Channel Awesome.

Noah is like an old dog who barks at everything, is almost 100% blind, and is in pain from illnesses he's getting all the time, but wants to go out and play even though he's too old to even catch a ball. Noah needs to find an actual job and Old Yeller this Sponny shit, there ain't much to it now. Maybe make one final review and mooch off Joe or someone before he gets a new, easier job for himself.

Ain't nobody knows how to beat a dead horse like an online content creator. At least they can always count on the patronage of crazy pony people and their inherent inclinations towards both zoophilia and necrophilia, though.

Oh god, I've gained the approval of Bastard1... mods/admins, how do I delete reviews? I don't want myself associated with this guy.

Can I ask what the point of 'storylines' for these critics are? Maybe it's me, but I'm here to watch their reviews or what they criticize, I don't care what storyline they have going on themselves or for their character.

As for Spoony... honestly, he lost me early on. Not because he's an 'old hat' or because his reviews are funny. But because he complains about things that are factually wrong or because he is complaining about things that he brought on himself.

Can't say Angry Joe is much better, I mean, his stick of being, well, an Angry Reviewer has really lost its appeal. Especially his immature whining and behavior about content claims and similar just... also, he repeatedly reviews Movie-based videogames and complains that they aren't good. (They are videogames based on a different medium and need to follow the other medium's progression, OF COURSE it will suck)

@catmuto Story lines don't really have a point, other for the content creators to really get their creative juices going and to really learn camera techniques, effects, to see if they can make better work than the people they review. Plus most critic story stuff are at start or the end of their reviews, like Linkara. The issue with Spoony is that this story has been going on forever, especially if you put in crossovers that may or may not be on his site.

Also Angry Joe's "Angry Reviewer" stick is not really focused on being angry, as he is a very constructive criticism type of critic than a pure caustic as many internet reviewers are. Also his content claim videos do help out his audience know about the bullshit of YT copyright policies. Content claims are one of biggest issues for You Tubers, from big to small. Especially if the claimers are people who are very petty and want to silence their critics, which happens a lot.

And he hasn't review a movie-based video game in fucking forever. It's clear you stopped watching him a long time ago and don't care to understand how hurtful content claims can be and are.

@OnlyHereToComment: Indeed, I stopped watching Angry Joe a while ago. I don't even remember what the last one was, but I think I only stopped watching about a year ago.

And constructive criticism? Sorry, but I cannot call someone saying an entire game is crap, despite them not having finished it. They can say that the parts they played were crap, but not the entire thing. And he does complain about things that honestly don't really matter. Sure, they may matter to him, but he acts like EVERYONE should care because it bothers him.

Finally, he has no right to complain. Reviews are under Fair Use, sure, but only if you don't make money off of them. He does, so he is not perfectly right. And if it bothers him so much, go find a different job or a different platform where he can make money off of his videos. They exist.

I think Joe is one of the more neutral detailed reviewers out there. He's often tried to see how the game might feel from other people's perspectives and weave that into his wider criticism.

His videos are much much longer than the normal for YouTube comment and that's mainly because of how thorough he is. And very often his summary will be ' i really enjoyed the Base game and I think they had something special here, I just really wish they'd done a little bit more X and hadn't done Y'

@catmuto I'm not sure how I can reply to your comment. It's like you're purposefully not "getting it". But I'll focus on the stuff you said earlier first.

1. Even a year ago, he was pushing away from licensed games. The latest ones I remember were the Star Trek games from 2014.

2. I'm not sure where you got your information that Joe doesn't finish the games he reviews. And let's be honest, if most of a game is terrible, then what are the chances that the last 10% of game left isn't?

3. He complains about things that matter to him as a critic, which makes sense, and they may not matter to you. But rarely (really never) does he ever say that "you" should feel the exact same way he does.

4. So he has no right to complain how YouTube screws him over? It is his job you know. Sure I said a similar thing in my review of Spoony that he should look for a different job, but that was more out of anger in the moment and that Spoony barely puts out content. Joe is almost always working on something. And do you have any idea how many people on YT are being screwed over hard? Sure you may say it's "normal", but it's not right. A great example is the channel I Hate Everything and how YT just deleted his channel for a day, and he put out a tweet showing that YT is the largest digital media distributer out there, by a shit ton. You act as if there are millions of sites that can give out the same amount of views like YT.

@catmuto act like an adult and don't be one of those annoying people on YT comments saying the stupidest shit like "find somewhere else" or "get a real job" or "you're complaining about nothing" when you clearly know jack shit about half the things you're talking about.
