I have always loved reading folktales from around the world and "The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship" has always been a favorite of mine!
I just loved the fact that the story takes place in Russia and I loved the theme about how true friendship will rule the day as the Fool soon learns to trust his unusual friends when the Tsar gives the crew impossible tasks to pass before the Fool could marry the Princess.
This is an enjoyable story for anyone who loves Russian folktales and books about friendship and I would also strongly suggest checking out Robin Williams' version of this tale. It's so hilarious!
