With the series over due to poor ratings, Beelzebub now feels like a series that ended prematurely, and with a lot of missed potential, but when you look back, you can tell why the series was cancelled. From it's poorly executed battle scenes, to the lack of any real character development outside of Furuichi escaping his role as the Butt Monkey, there just wasn't much going for it.
The one, and only thing, this series had going for it was the comedy, which doesn't surprise me at all that this series got to continue through side-chapters that have mostly been relying on comedy.
Comedy saved this series to last a bit longer
