Oh, gosh, is this fic slow, but in the best possible way. There's no instant gratification like in the movie, where Aurora wakes up almost immediately after being cursed. Oh no, this fic takes place over eighty-six years, and it drives home just how painful those years are, how hopeless, how desperately Maleficent and Diaval cling to each other when watching over a sleeping Aurora is the only thing they have left. I have nothing but praise for this. It's outstanding.
