Really funny, espesially later seasons

Phineas and Ferb has gotten a lot better as it goes along, the first season was kinda meh but the most recent seasons have me laughing out loud every episode! It really hit its groove in season 4 by mostly disposing of the Strictly Formula style of the earlier seasons and experimenting with other storylines.

The characters are very interesting and theres always more to them than meets the eye. It makes it interesting to watch lots of episodes because you can piece together from hints and asides that each character is actually much deeper than their obvious steryotypes. Its also great that (unlike some shows, like spongebob) the characters are consistant: the jokes and hidden depths revealed never contradict each other

The humor (espesially later) is very off-beat and focuses a lot on subverting expectations. I think its much improved from the more standard slapstick humor of the eralier seasons. There are also a lot of running gags (not just the obvious ones) and allusions to earlier episodes.

I really recommend watching a few of the episodes from seasons 1-2 to get a feel for the formula, but it really gets good in season 4.
