Hacker, Peace, Freya, Lucifer, Moisaka, Nogawa, and various others all ended up dead while Angel, Taki, and probably Asura lived on. It's likely Japan is still on the brink of economic disaster despite our "heroes'" efforts. The public doesn't know the truth of the story's conflict due to the killings being blamed on terrorists. And the government corruption is probably still rooted in the country and overall, it's unlikely any real change for the better was done by the aforementioned "heroes".
