Who would have thought, that the German dub
would sound goofier and even scarier than the original? One YouTuber even describes the way the first singing phase of the hallucination was handled: it is as if it sounds like a demon-summoning ritual. (Also, the Grinch even chuckles once during the hallucination.)
If Grandpa Geisel were alive to this day, it would not be surprising if he made the dub his Creator-Preferred Adaptation.
