I, for one, am thankful that the official name really is Final Fantasy Remake, which means that we don't have to rename every wick to the original game to Final Fantasy VII (1997).

I was pretty sure it wouldn't simply be Final Fantasy VII. Honestly was hoping for a more original subtitle. Maybe one ending with C like all the compilation titles. Original Crisis maybe?
There really should be a way to streamline the renaming process, though.

Onwiki. It's the same issue with wikia page renames. You have to go through and rename or rewick each and every single page individually.
Ah yes, we do plan to make such renames easier, but for now it needs manual effort.

I may be three years late to the party, but the page for the original game would not have moved.
(There's still no actual confirmation that the game will be released under the "Remake" title.)
