Trivia change: I'm reading the Bad Export For You entry, and I'm groaning like mad. Really mad. The accusations aren't true. Where can you even get that the SEA localization is devaluating the entire title worldwide as a whole? And, as a player of the SEA version, rare weapons and equipments being bound to players is part of the ORIGINAL mechanic. Costumes are NOT bound to players at all. I have tested this myself.

Costumes used to be bound to player. It is not that the accusations were never true, nor are they accusations. They are simply outdated. And let's face it, the SEA localization is terrible. A lot of the SEA players I know think it's utterly horrid and still prefer playing the JP version as opposed to the SEA version simply because of the stark differences. And what do you mean, "original mechanic," because I sure don't know where you got that idea from. Rare weapons and armor never got bound to the player just because they picked the item up in the JP version.

Then one of us has to change it, because it's

a) Not true because outdated accusation and

b) YMMV territory (under They Changed It Now It Sucks) because it's purely opinion now.

Also, it's never stated anywhere that the SEA version is a translated export. Sega has always been known for its arbitrary localization (localization entails the changing of texts and therefore contexts) and much of the inconsistencies were forced upon the publishers. You can check the staff roll and what the Community Manager said on both hands and see for yourself.

Finally, you said that rare weapons and armor never get bound to players in the original version (on pickup). I can agree. However, the page entry says that SEA version has COSTUMES bound to players (upon wearing), which I disagree. It's false accusation because my character has a Black Nurse Uniform at the moment which can be resold in the personal shop at any given time. I'm proceeding to remove that entry straight away.

But it seems like it was true at one point. The fact they've since fixed it doesn't change the fact that it was true. Just add a "it's since been changed due to fan backlash."
