- Names The Same: Tohru shares the same name as the lead character of Fruits Basket.
The problem I have with this is that it seems like saying "*Character with a standard foreign name* has the same name as a character from another work from the same region". Is Names The Same really that broad? Thing is I don't know if "Tohru" is an uncommon name in Japan or not.
I want to call into question the adaptation sexuality entry, while she does say that, she also later tells Tohru it's ok for her to be curious about other women even if society says it's not, so it seems more like she's just closeted,
