I assumed they were the same attack as well. Would be a bit of a contrived coincidence if she narrowly survived two such attacks as a child.
So is the attack aftermath seen in Burnham's flashback really a separate one that took place after her parents were killed? I thought it was implied that it was the same Klingon attack on the joint Vulcan-Human outpost, and that Burnham survived because Sarek found her, revived her with the mind-meld, and adopted her as his daughter. Where does anything in the series indicate that the two attacks were separate events?
