The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. For that matter, a game that is rated T is for teenagers and up, not for teenagers only. Final Fantasy could never be called a kid's game because it was never intended for kids. This trope really needs a repair because it should really be pieces of media which were targeted towards kids but do not seem like it because of material that is problematic even for adults' media. It seems that it should actually be discussed as an extreme example of peripheral demographic where the peripheral demographic is completely justified.
Edited by Kevonni4I had a thought. In some of its aspects, like when someone gets really attached to a show that's aimed at a younger demographic, could this overlap with "Stop Having Fun" Guys?
Migrated to Chloe Jessica! The page should differentiate between media that is marketed to kids and media that is assumed to be for kids because it is Rated G/PG/E/___.
Cut this example:
- Thomas The Tank Engine. Especially in the earlier seasons. Think about it. A bunch of talking locomotives and vehicles working day and night on a railway run by a man with the IQ of a garbage bin often get into trouble for things that weren't necessarily their fault. Not to mention many violent accidents happening to them. The early episodes are very hard to find on terrestrial TV channels. When they're on, most of the violence and insults are edited out.
This one's trying WAY too hard to sound 'not for kids'. And about the last part...1)Couldn't they also be hard to find on TV because they're older? and 2)Any actual proof that they've ever been edited for the so-called 'violence and insults'?
The Dragon Ball Franchise is aimed at Children despite its violent and sexual content
Will somebody add this?
Edited by 68.226.211.156- The What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids? page. If you are to believe some tropers, subtlety, complexity and nuance of any sort are all far beyond the intellectual reach of the pre-teen.
- To be perfectly fair, so do people in the industry.
Wh-what?! What the hell? Can someone be a little more precise? The It's Not For Kids? page is for kids really? Uhhh...
The examples need some SERIOUS culling—if you took out all the ones that should really go on "What Do You Mean It's NOT For Kids", 75% of the examples would be gone. Can we start a committee or something?
