Were the members of The God Hand from Berserk actually inspired by H.R. Giger's artworks, I do not think they actually count as Xenomorph Xeroxes.

Should skeletal and/or ridged biomechanical-looking armour/exoskeletons be added to the list of traits?
Infested Kerrigan took Ripley from Alien 3 wholesale and ran with it. Even the fact she is "reborn" TWICE is a side dish to her "genetic upgrade" as she got the acid blood and $deity knows what other perks, and the Aliens won't attack her at first because she *smells* like them or something.
The only original thing on the game is the Psionic power that she already had and the Overmind seized it on the first game and

was the key for the 2nd game rescue on the Terran campaign, Rescue the Zerg collective species on the 2nd campaign, and fulfill the Zeratul prophecy on the Protoss campaign.
On a side note, curiously, Abathur says human flesh is too fragile for his experiments, but Kerrigan comes out just fine from the Zerus rebuilding pool... Abathur didn't consider her psionic powers, huh? Considering the process was not exactly safe either, he had a point.
