Why does this page have real life examples? Isn’t the point of such a term to be something completely unreachable that only lunatics would believe possible?

The guy who coined the term, Plato certainly did believe it was achievable.

There are also real-life historical figures who made an impact on philsophy and other intellectual ideas, and of course there was no barrier against real-life examples...
