i'm going to remove the real life section since there is only one example and dose't really fit the trope definition. please tell me if i shouldn't do it.

Trope creator here. I'm not too happy with my description section. While it generally gets the point across, it's relatively low quality, and I'm not sure how to improve it. The best solution would be if someone could write the article 'in-character' featuring an old person talking to children about what The Beforetimes were like. If you think you can do a better job, give it a spruce up, I don't think it does any more than talk about the trope itself in a rather clunky fashion.

Also, if anyone can find the relevent quote from Beyond Thunderdome to post above the page, that'd be great. I think it was something like "In the Beforetimes, in the Long Long Ago," but I'm not certain. If the full quote is ever more descriptive of the trope, that'd be even better.

A suggestion for an image might be something from Fallout, featuring a poster of the happy past with the wasteland in the background. I'm not sure if such a picture from Fallout exists, but it'd be great if it did. Caption could be something like "Everything was nicer back then..."

Overall, while I think the trope needed to be added, I don't think I was the one to do it. I launched anyway, as it wasn't actually bad, just not as good as it could be, and hopefully so it could get a bit more coverage and a more competent person to prettify it.

Lastly, this trope has a close connection with LOTS of After the End tropes. Indeed, I suspect that this trope may be potholed in the existing descriptions without actually changing the descriptions themselves. That's the ideal solution, as it'll get more coverage for the trope without having to actually make a blatant addition to the existing descriptions.
