This happened to me, but it was in kindergarten. I was a lot smaller back then.
I've noticed something similar pop up in Japanese stuff (mostly ecchi and hentai) from time to time. In this variation, a boy and a girl hide in a locker because someone comes into the room. It usually happens in sports locker rooms since those lockers tend to be much bigger, and one of them would be in the wrong locker room giving them a reason to hide. Is this the same thing?

Real Life
- Nowadays, people stuff themselves into their lockers... mostly to prove they can do it (at least they do at this troper's high school).
- This ones as well. In response to anyone stupid enough to stuff themselves into one *And Chicago Public School lockers are SMALL, so it takes a bit of work to get in...or out* People will usually lean on the door, or worse, lock them for a short time.
- This troper's friend climbed inside of a locker when she was in middle school (because he was very skinny and short at the time, so he wanted to prove if he could.) The kid standing next to said troper slammed the door closed... the poor kid was trapped in the lock for about 15 minutes before the security gaurd got up there.
- Escape artists sometimes stuff themselves into safes, at the risk of being permanently locked in by the failsafe.
- One of this tropers friends actually did this to himself back in middle school. Cue random kid running by and locking him in. Fortunately I was able to open it again also just in time for the kid who had turned the lock to be coming around again. Hilarity Ensues in the form of a Chase Scene
- this troper's middle school had a large closet at the back of each home room rather than lockers. the door only opened from the outside. cue the school bullies locking the loser-bookworm( this troper) inside. on friday. before spring break. with a half deaf teacher.
