When we talk about minor roles, do we mean just "little facetime" or that a character is truly tertiary to the main story but does something key to drive the plot forward? For instance, I have a hard time considering Voldemort a small role big impact character because he is the overarching main antagonist. To me, Narcissa Malfoy better embodies this—she's mostly in the background, is never actively attacking the heroes, but in the last two books she performs acts that change the course of the story: the Unbreakable Vow and lying about Harry's death to Voldemort.
