I think it is a good idea to make this an animated trope. It takes conscious effort to recreate real-life creations in animated works, whereas in live action works is mostly a matter of convenience.
As a matter of fact, the same pretty much holds true for Scenery Porn, which can be seen as the sister page to this one.

Shouldn't the article specify that this is primarily an animation trope? Otherwise every single show or movie shot in a real street would qualify, and that's probably not what was intended.
