Here's one from Adventure Quest Worlds. I was with a group and one guy randomly started jumping continuously. Then the next guy started it and before long the entire group was jumping up and down. I basically said "When in Rome..."
What about Kingdom Hearts? Am I the only one who constantly does Sora's dodge roll repeatedly (and in Birth By Sleep, Ventus' roll, along with Terra's dash and Aqua's cartwheel) when moving?
Is "Shooting a few bullets from a gun in first-person shooters so you could pick up ammo clip which would otherwise be left behind. " an example? I thought that was just good game sense and this needs to be unnecessary

well doing that doesn't really add any ammo, so its pointless, yet widely done
