Just curious: what is the best way to get a small quantity of blood (to, say, sign your name). Punch in the nose? Cut on the back or leg?
Did you know that if you square any integer and divide the result by either 3 or 4, the remainder is always either zero or one? Hide / Show Replies

I like the sound of a punch to the nose, personally, though it really would depend on the story.

Similar but not quite the same question: what would be the smarter place to draw blood from? If I had a practitioner of blood magic, who needed to regularly put small doses of their own fresh blood into a mixture, without impinging too much on their ability to do fine mechanical work in-between, but did need that freshly drawn blood to fall directly into the concoction they were tending to... is there a better place for the blood to be drawn from? Back of the hand? Wrist? Finger?
