Although to be fair, the melting point of glass is higher than that of the human brain. And destroying his brain would actually kill him.

You Fail Physics Forever indeed - human body doesn't have a melting point. (Yes, I would have expected him to burn well before the glass shard had melted, but hey - we'll talking about a supernatural mutant. It could have been argued hence and forth - take it to It Just Bugs Me!.)
