Is this really a trope? It seems just like Mr. Fanservice or Mr. Fanservice But More.
Edited by battosaijoe Hide / Show RepliesIt's not the same. Read the freaking descriptions.
Edited by Insignificant...I did. That's the very reason I posted this. This one describes what a Mr. Fanservice might look like. That one is being Mr. Fanservice. I still don't see how this is a trope. And if it IS a trope, then I don't see how it's not subjective.
Edited by battosaijoeI'd consider it a trope (well, maybe an audience reaction), but it's one we already have by another name.
Edited by INUH Infinite Tree: an experimental storyI'd agree with the OP... but we have Pretty Boy, so I think we need this one as Foil.
The way I see it the 3 tropes are clearly distinct: Hunk is a sexy man in a masculine way, Pretty Boy is a sexy man in a feminine way and Mr. Fanservice is the intentional use of one of them to lure the ladies (and gay men) into watching the show.

I'm thinking that we should add more folder to this page like example - Arts, Mythology, Fanwork, Webcomic, Visual Novel, Etc.
