Okay, this trope makes absolutely no sense. If a character's established to be a human, why draw them as an animal? Unless they're wearing a costume or something, but still. Also, I HATE the Furry Denial trope with a passion. Like, it bugs the shit out of me. Like, if you're a cat, just own it! And not even in like an umbrella sense, like how humans are apes! If you're a literal cat, don't say you aren't!

What about Walt Kelly's "Pogo"? The animals even wear clothes and discuss politics.
