Um...should there even be Real Life examples of a Fantastic Caste System? "Fantastic" in this context is "of or pertaining to fantasy," not So Cool Its Awesome....
Maybe we should add in the write-up a distinction between "horizontal" and "vertical" separations. Namely, whether one (or more) caste is "below" the others (one "above" is quite different).
With this in mind, trolls from Homestuck and untouchables from Real Life are "vertical", while most Hive Caste Systems or the tau from Warhammer 40000 are "horizontal".
