I agree about not cutting the trope but would anyone care if I purged it of its real life section?

I don't really mind either way. Though they don't seem to attract all that much natter (Far less than I would suspect) and are fairly informative. They could stand to be shortened and read less like essays though.
I agree against the cut. Maybe get rid of the page quote and edit the Real Life section a bit, but other than that, this trope is perfectly valid.
