As part of the movement to get all works on the proper namespace, this page has been converted into a disambiguation page. The new video game page is at Deus Ex. Please help in correcting the wicks.

Man, the human revolution trailer looks so awesome.

But why did he punch a wall just to snap that mooks neck?

Because of how unwieldy the Deus Ex page and its related pages were getting from all the examples concerning Invisible War and Human Revolution, I decided to make a sweep and put any and all examples related to either one into the pages/appropriate tabs dedicated to said games (to which I had created such a page for Human Revolution, as there wasn't one yet).

I also put up the notice requesting people put examples for both games to their respective pages as well.

I am a gamer with all three latest-gen systems and a PS 2. How can I play this game? After reading up on it, I've decided that I can't not play it.

Well, Deus Ex does have a PS 2 port (Deus Ex: The Conspiracy). It's generally regarded as inferior, but not horrible by any means. I'd go with the PC version if possible, though there might be some bugs if you have a very new machine. It costs ridiculously little by this point.

Should Human Revolution get its own page? Invisible War is already separated, so I figure we might as well spin off Human Revolution too. That way, we don't have to move a lot of tropes in the long run.

Siiiiiiiiince no one got this...I think everyone's waiting to see if Human Revolution will actually have enough tropes to warrant its own page. Probably will.

'Black And Grey Morality: Though JC, Paul, Jock, Alex and Reyes are generally pretty good people, the rest of La Resistance are right-wing militia'

Someone needs to detach themselves from reality, the NSF is more like a populist militia,or a group of peeps interested in not seeing everyone making less than 1m a year die

Ah, but you forgot the rest of the post, which clarifies it a bit - "All these groups agree on what is Black, on what they are fighting — but we have to wonder what happens to the world once these folks are empowered."

What the NSF started out as and they ended up as when DX's story began are two different things compared to what they could become in the end. I didn't really care for IW's assuming all three endings occurred in DX (thought the anarchic world setting was cheap), but it did solve the problem of just what would happen to La Resistance after it "won".

Hi, I editted "Shown their Work". It said "These Executive Orders are real" with a link to High Octane Nightmare Fuel. Well, yes, those executive orders are real. So's the Emancipation Proclamation, but it doesn't empower the president to create alien hunter teams. There is no possible way to read those orders and return the answers the guard did, which is why it's restricted to conspiracy nuts in the real world.

not sure which trope this is, but the description of soy food in deus ex says something like, "it's real, it's people, it's soy food." possibly related to the euthanasia clinic thing. Is there a made of people trope? I'll get the actual quote as soon as I can. ( Yay, first contribution. ^_^ )

Well, I was wrong about the soy food, it's the chocolate bars. 'CHOCULENT DREAM. IT'S CHOCOLATE! IT'S PEOPLE! IT'S BOTH!(tm) 85% recycled material.' I'm not sure about the trope though, maybe human resources would fit better? ( Human resources would also work for the practice of looting a corpse for bioelectric energy in multiplayer. ) Anyway, I'm new here, so I thought I'd ask what you guys ( and girls ) think.

Edit: Added Human Resources

Uh, Project: Snowblind (which needs its own article like now) is a Spiritual Successor, not an unofficial spin off.

It's worded "another Spiritual Successor", after DX 2; however, DX IW was the actual sequel and Snowblind wasn't even a spin off, but a completely new game. So how does it work as a Spiritual Successor?

Hey Gwonam, it's considered good form to explain why you've suddenly deleted three dozen tropes. If I hadn't thought to check the Character Page, I would have reverted those changes. There is an edit reason box.

Oh hey, sorry. I'm quite new to this. Anyway I put all the character tropes on the character page and the Invisible War tropes on the IW page.
