What about Alessa Gillespie? She's got to be at least this in the film version.
Hide / Show RepliesGreetings,
please describe characters in some more detail when proposing them for a trope.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm not exactly sure. Maybe it's too subjective.
I personally think parasites and parasitoids (especially the ones that exert some measure of mind control) are very creepy with good doses of squick thrown in but at the same time, they are very cool.
Same for diseases. Creepy and squicky as all hell, but you have to admit, the incredibly elaborate and devious ways they attack our bodies is actually pretty cool.
And don't forget sharks and snakes. Creepy but damned cool.
It is extremely questionable. It probably won't survive a trip through the RL section upkeep thread.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanHow come half the entries are just badguys who the fanbase love? It says CREEPY awesome, not Evil Is Cool.
Gimme yer lunch money, dweeb. Hide / Show RepliesWell, it's a trope about villains - villains that are EPIC based on what that particular fan thinks. So how do you separate a villain that is appreciated for their evil/creepiness from a non-Evil Is Cool villain.
They're practically the same trope. What, is Evil is Cool based on opinion and Creepy Awesome based on fact? Vice-versa? That's not said in either description.
Nightraid: Does anybody want to suggest a picture and caption for this article ? I'd like to suggest either this◊ (might be a bit big though) or this.◊
Your mind is a software. Program it. Your body is a shell. Change it. Death is a disease. Cure it. Extinction is approaching. Fight it. Hide / Show Replies
Re: Bioshock Infinite - What's creepy about Daisy Fitzroy or Comstock? They're just people.
