I'm not certain whether or not this trope would cover the breifly shown scene from 'UP' wherein an old lady has her entire house dragged down the street by a giant swarm of harnessed housecats. On one hand, it's not a literal chariot (it may or may not have had wheels), but on the other hand the same basic concept of being able to control and harness the cats holds true...
Myths and Religion: the Finnish example doesn't seem right at all. The original Joulupukki did not have flying reindeer.
In fact he wasn't much like today's Santa Claus at all -only that character's name is being used by Finns to refer to the modern, imported American Santa Claus. The Finns imported Santa Claus from the US with the flying reindeer and everything.
New here and don't know how to nominate an example for deletion - but this ought to go.
