When you spot a Zero Context Example, what you must do is either provide details if you're familiar with the involved work or trope, or comment it out if you aren't. Deletion is only permitted if the hypothetical example is factually inaccurate.

That's not what it says on Zero Context Example. Is that page out of date?

"Is it factually inaccurate" seems like a kinda difficult call to make, if the example provides zero context and I don't know the work myself.

Um...

"Frequently these examples are commented out with the %% markup so that editors visiting the page know to correct them."

Also, if you don't know if the example is factually correct or not, then just comment it out all the same. The validity or not of the example will be determined when someone attempts to add context to it.
