Aquila89: Why limit to elevator? There can be other uncomfortable places to give birth, like a cab, or a plane, or inside of the Statue of Liberty (this actually happened).

Elevator (or cab) tends to be the most well-known examples. Obviously, unplanned labor in a less-than-optimal location is the overall trope this is referring to, but that isn't as snappy as a title.
Sure that wouldn't be a Heartwarming Moment of Crowning for when the baby's head comes through?
