Could someone with the power to do so remove the Main tab, or set up the Main tab to link back to the Laconic? Thus, "enforcing" the use of the separate link?

No. Removing the entire page that explains the trope in order to link to a laconic for Self Demonstration purposes is way too high a price.

The "click here for the main article" link uses an image, which is incorrect TVT style and doesn't appear anywhere else on the wiki. I changed it to be normal, and ginsengaddict changed it back. Rather than perpetuate the edit war, I am posting here.
It should be normal, using the main tab icon as part of inline text isn't exaggerating anything, it is just wrong.
