togame's death speech is just one more play

how else could she reduce shichika's pain? love is a result of faith, which is a result of trust, which is a result of truth

we know well that the cross eye is a symbol of lies; once togame starts talking about killing shichika & etc, she goes serpent eye

i believe togama loves/d him, and the best way she knew to keep him alive was to die, to cut away the things that kept him from being the perfect swordless sword - that, if she didn't actually plan to die, then she planned to succeed anyway. if she couldn't live with shichika, she would use her death to make him invulnerable - as well as her perfect instrument of revenge.

consider the ending: her love wins her revenge, finds a new partner, and tries to live carrying out the peaceful aspect of her dream - a unified and understood japan

what else can togame do, dying, mortally wounded, than lie? it is her most developed skill. how can she, knowing she is about to die, force the man she loves to live? to create? to protect the people who CAN create?

she has to kill his love & maintain his respect for himself & her.

he ends her revenge. but i suspect she always knew he would.

the difficulty was helping him live past it.

cross eye is undeniably lies.

i would argue it is usually, if not always, lies that support life.

counterarguments?

Ahem, I have no idea what you are trying to say. Also, using proper capitalization would be nice.
