Ripped from the Headlines: The cyberbullying premise was inspired in part by the suicide of teenagers such as Amanda Todd. A sequel in development is intended to be loosely based on the Gamergate controversy.

Source? I can't find anything that supports that claim.

Edit: It's from Wikipedia, and the part mentioning Gamergate was deleted. Will remove the part about Gamergate.

Just thought I'd ask: does anyone else thing classifying Ken as a Jerk with a Heart of Gold is a rather big stretch? Sending everyone anti-malware software is of very little inconvenience to him, furthermore he's trying to solve a problem that affects him directly, not heroically help someone else.

Well, he at least doesn't throw anyone under the bus like a few of the other characters, though that may just be because he died before he could.
