Considering that The Lancer is, first and foremost, a foil to The Hero, what you say about Hyde is not unlikely. The problem is that there are currently too few episodes to establish Hyde's character, or anyone, for that matter. The most we can take for assumption is only from the Epics broadcasted. So, we'll have to wait and see, like with Shinkenger (which didn't establish the characters immediately either).
Just because Hyde is calm and rational, dosen't make him less of a Lancer. As for Agri, being rash is mainly the symbel of The Big Guy!
