P.S.A
If someone tells you to skip seasons 1-3 please do not be a follower. Seasons 1-3 are the highest rated for a reason. It's when all 3 main characters are friends, and it build their relationships and the dangers they face. If someone tells you to skip seasons 1-3 it's either because they don't like Lana, Lex, their friendships with Clark and are trying to make you not like them as well. They also may be obsessed with Chloe, who is pining after Clark in season 1, but tries to find out Clark's secret in 2, and teams up with Lionel Luthor in 3. Please don't let their biases stop you from enjoying the highest rated seasons.
New section : Think maybe you guys can add in a section for characters that appear in Season 11
Edited by ele3000someone seriously needs to go through these pages and throw in a few spoiler tags, or at the very least throw a few warnings of unmarked spoilers around. (seen plenty on the meteor freaks page, it's reached the point where you pretty much can't read any entries unless you've seen the characters involved die without having something spoiled.
This page has reached a point where, due to its size, editing it can potentially cause server problems. See this thread for details.
To fix this, I split the page almost exactly along the lines of the previous folder structure (excellent work on that, by the way), and converted the page to an index. This should give all of the sub-pages plenty of room to grow.
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project! Hide / Show RepliesLike the idea, but I wonder if maybe some of the subpages are a little too small and specific. Should we maybe but the Kents and Clark's highschool friends on the same page (can't think of a title yet; maybe "Smallville residents"? There's gotta be something better.). Or a page entitled "Kryptonians", and put the House of El, House of Zod, and other random Kryptonians on it? Just wondering.
Glad you liked the way it was already split. I appreciate the compliment.
EDIT: Also, do we want a description on each page of who the group is? I mean, some like "Government Agents and Rogues" are obvious, but others like "House of Zod" or "Meteor Freaks" might not be.
Edited by AmbarSonofDesharYes, I can see combining some of those sub-pages if there is a better way to group them. Since I'm not as familiar with this series, I will defer to your judgment on how best they would be placed together.
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project! The only one that springs to mind right off the bat is—as mentioned before—combining "House of Zod" and "House of El" to create "Kryptonians". They could be kept in their individual folders (as a way of separating the two factions) and, if we need it, a third folder ("Other Kryptonians"?) could be added. I actually have no idea how to go about deleting pages and adding new ones though, so the best I can do is make this suggestion, and hope you run with it.
Well I certainly don't mind doing it, but it's actually not difficult to do at all. I will go ahead and make the changes for the Kryptonians, and give you a step by step of the process for future reference. :)
First, when creating the new page, the easiest way I've found in this kind of situation is to take the address for the main Smallville character page in the address bar (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Characters/Smallville), and add the word "Kryptonians" on the end, which would give you https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Characters/SmallvilleKryptonians. This will take you to the Characters.Smallville Kryptonians page, which you can edit from there.
Now that the first part's done, we can cutlist the old pages. To do so, you first go to the Cutlist page here, which you can get to by clicking on the "Watchlist" or "See Watchlist" button at the top of a page, then clicking on the "Cutllist" button from there. Once on the Cutlist page, you enter the page you want to cut in the first box (In this case Characters/SmallvilleHouseOfEl and Characters/SmallvilleHouseOfZod), and the reason for the cut in the second box (say "Duplicates of a combined page" for this example), then hit "Doom It" button. The Cut Masters will take it from there. (Note: I've already done this for these to pages, so you don't need to.)
Then you just change the link on the main Characters.Smallville page, and you're done! Give it a try next time you want to combine any of these pages.
I think the introduction you mentioned for the subpages would be a good idea. Since I'm not as familiar with this series, I will leave that to any who feel confident enough to do it.
Edited by Meeble Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project!Having no life I have now broken the page up into folders (it was getting huge and it's only a matter of days before someone decides "Hey I think I'll add all the Meteor Freaks and all the Zoners" and makes it worse). I considered dividing up by season but that seemed like it would be a) boring, and b) uninformative. So I've tried to split it up by category as best I could. If anyone can think of better ones, please don't hesitate to fix the page up.
On another note I will attempting to provide each character with a) a brief description of who they are and b) a statement about which season they appear/first appear in. Help with this, is also appreciated, it's a pretty big job for just me.
Hide / Show RepliesOkay, for no apparent reason, the Luthor Corp, House of El, House of Zod, Lane, Daily Planet Staff, and both Clark's Allies folders are screwed up. What's up with that? I've checked the edit page and they don't seem all that differnt. Actually, when I first moved them there they worked just fine. What's going on?
It's like there's no spaces, but there are spaces. I've repeatedly checked the edits.
EDIT: Tried to fix it, no luck. There doesn't even seem to be a rhyme or reason to when it screws up. Help!!!!!!!!!
EDIT: Never mind. I've got it fixed.

And where does this whining all the time come from?! She asks twice in season 3 after Clark runs away and doesn't ask again until season 5. Compare that to Chloe seasons 1-3. I think Lana-haters know they just exaggerate and hate the character because they're insecure or immature. Especially when it's a grown man or woman saying these hateful things. Then they rove about how much they hate "fake cheerleaders".
