Judging from (what appears to be) the earliest example of the name Tia coming up on Twitter it may have come from a (now deleted and/or unavailable) Instagram post.
What other sources I've found claim that Rachel Kim herself (the creator of the short) confirmed her name was Tia. The only twitter post linked to her twitter account that mentions the name Tia has been deleted, though.
Though, as the post says, the name "Tia" is technically a placeholder name. It's been widely accepted by the fandom, though. With that being said, assuming this source is indeed legit, it might be best if the pages for this animation acknowledge that the name "Tia" is a placeholder and technically not the character's official name.

Does anyone have a source for the "protag is a girl named tia" claim? I can't find any of the creator's socials, nor any kind of interview where she actually says this.
