As much as I'd be inclined to agree with you, I'm pretty sure others would say that promotional material for a work such as a poster doesn't count as part of said work. And we can't really trust anything from ambiguous sources since...they're ambiguous sources. Can't draw any solid conclusions from that.

I suppose so; I maintain that not trusting the character posters is going a little too far in not trusting the marketing, and Valkyrie actually had plenty of solid evidence suggesting she would return before the posters unveiled, but I have indeed ran into people who genuinely think that Marvel and Disney would lie about a popular character appearing, so I can see that.

And if the source cannot be trusted, should we remove Hank and Janet for now?

They've lied about it before. For instance, they had actors from Agents of SHIELD show up on the set of Age of Ultron to make it seem like they'd be appearing, but they didn't.

But those actors didn’t appear in any promotional material. As of this writing, Valkyrie has also appeared on the Chinese poster in addition to getting her own, when she got nothing for Infinity War because she didn’t appear in it. And Valkyrie’s more popular than the Ao S cast, so her appearing in the posters only to not show up in the film would make a lot of people angrier; there’s a point where misleading just leads into douchebaggery, and I think Marvel knows that. Not to mention....Tessa reportedly flew to the filming location with Chris Hemsworth when they were leaving the Mi B set before the posters were unveiled, Tessa tweeted about how she had a movie coming out in April before the posters were unveiled, and really, why would Valkyrie not show up and try to get to Thor given Infinity War’s now infamous ending.

There is an overwhelming amount of evidence that Valkyrie will be in the movie.
