"In the later episodes, the persecution of anyone who's suspected or confirmed to be a Devilman can mirror real-life oppression of members of the LGBTQ+ community."

I'd suggest removing this simply because that situation of persecuting anyone suspected of being a member of a group is ubiquitous in history and would require pages to list them all, and the example given is no more relevant than any other, and in fact less depending on the part of the world in which it took place, since in many areas while being a member of said community may have caused trouble for a person it mostly did not result in death or bodily harm like devilmen in the anime whereas other groups may be a closer analogy.

In short it sounds like someone making an embarrassing claim (because of the potentially large degree of difference and lack of global consistency that is implied by the devilman situation) or trying to use the anime for a personal platform; if that is allowed (and maybe it is, i genuinely don't know) then it seems a dangerous door to open, you know?

Okay, this is driving me up a wall. I've done some research, and it doesn't look like there's much evidence that Babydevil Cryman is part of some great cycle of doom-punishment on God's behalf. Just because some of Go Nagai's work takes place in this massive cycle doesn't mean that this is, especially considering that Go Nagai didn't write or direct this piece. On top of that, Nagai's work is self-contradictory—they literally can't all be canon.

TL;DR can we purge all the stupid junk on the main page, the character page, etc. regarding all of this being a punishment from God when there's no evidence in this adaptation that that's the case?

Sidenote: yes, I realize the ending shot matches the opening shot of the anime. In the context of the work proper, that's ambiguous. We aren't very well supposed to take the last "cycle" for being a previous Devilman canon, after all, given that it's implied to have been the age of the dinosaurs.

Technically the 1970s Devilman anime being a TV show inuniverse is something that was done in Lady, and its a point made that those are the history of the world from previous cycles of the world being destroyed and recreated. It doesn't help Yuasa takes from all forms of Devilman media for Crybaby. The mortorcycle scenes are from the Amon OVA and the demons act like the Devilbeasts of Lady. Even the whole not having physical form and needing a host to live again is from Shin Violence Jack and Lady.

Basically it's unclear how much of that what's taken acts on the same reasoning, especially as Nagai left a number of things implied in Devilman itself.

Even if the cycle did happen before it was Devilman/Amon fighting against Xenon and demonkind after falling in love with Miki just like the original show.

I do agree the time loop deal is not what is happening, and it is from the Amon manga the Amon OVA is based on.

If you don't believe the time loop thing, that's fine; that's your opinion. But the director himself retweeted a long meta post that supported the time loop theory, and the majority (I'm referring to 98%) of the fandom support said theory, even long before Crybaby was even announced.

So even if you feel strongly that the time loop theory isn't valid and you want to delete all the entries relating to that, then I suggest you try to get concrete and irrefutable proof to prove us wrong.

I prefer to lay low and to not be perceived.

Give me a link. If you're talking about the post about how DMCB is a metaphor for the way this story is told and retold by new generations (which was retweeted by Yuasa), then that's not what I have a problem with, nor is it particularly relevant.
