We even see some of the guys at Crystal Prep in training for the games in one of the shorts, yet both teams are thus far comprised solely of female students. One has to wonder if the guys do \\\'\\\'anything\\\'\\\' of value in this school or Crystal Prep at all, as three movies have passed with Flash Sentry being the only guy to do anything even halfway meaningful back in the first movie by keeping Twilight from being kicked out of the running for Princess of the Fall Formal— but even then it was the result of plot demanding he do so, and done in a very half-assed way intended solely to continue to promote his status as Pony Twilight\\\'s love interest. While he helps create a banner in \\\"A Banner Day\\\" he\\\'s generally treated like a shallow and self-involved idiot, getting into a fight with the other two as the work progresses. Not that the other two involved in the short are particularly any better. Even in the preview given of the film on Discovery Family, Flash just seems to be kind of a dick in general, though some might pass it off as a reaction to Celestia\\\'s comments about the upcoming games.

Didn\'t know where else to put this, since there seems to be an odd issue with how an opimnion piece fits into the Friendship Games YMMV. But here\'s what I added, only to have ti deleted, clamining it needed citations, despite being a) an opinion trope and b) references examples from the source material, though admittedly in pure text form. Anyone know what to do with this? [personally, I find it difficult to consider this an \'opinion\' trope if it requires citations.)
